In today’s review we talk about the Nihongo Sou Matome book series (日本語総まとめ). These are by far my most favorite books and they are the ones I can recommend the most. But like all books and resources, they have some downsides, so let’s go over the pro’s and con’s to see if these books are good for you or not (They probably will be good)! ;)

What great timing!! I saw so many Japanese language learners using this book series on Instagram and I wanted to know why they were so popular haha. Your review is very in depth and I’m completely sold! If I can get my hands on these books I’ll definitely buy them~ Thanks 😊🙏

I finally had time to review this book series and I also finally had some time to actually finishing the books according to the week planning. I still like these books as much as the first day that I got them. Anyone else enjoying these books? ^^

I'm so lucky that we have local licensed editions that cost only about 50 percent of the imported Japanese editions, making our editions really affordable. I bought N5 and N4 yesterday plus grammar books from our local publisher of MNN. Thanks for your review.

Great video man! I bought the nihongo sou matome books and I noticed that there is a certain gap. The n5 I think is for basic users and not for beginners, the user need to know some previous things. Do you had the same difficulty?
@VoylinsLife
@VoylinsLife Жыл бұрын
Not really, I started using the books after having a level in Japanese which enables me to have mostly smooth conversations. The books aren't really made for beginners, they are made according to the specific JLPT level and maintain the same difficulty through the book. So the N5 books will try to force you in a way to get used to N5 stuff quicker this way.

Hi! I have been hearing debate about this serie with Shin Kanzen Master... What's your opinion about it? I've heard a lot of reviews saying that this serie was a bit lacking comparing to the other... But I want to know from someone who has the whole serie
@VoylinsLife
@VoylinsLife 7 күн бұрын
The debate between those 2 series is something which has been going on for some time :p I also have the Shin Kanzen Master books and I still prefer the Nihongo Sou Matome books. I find them comfortable to use, I don't think the amount of content is that different or lacking compared to the other, so just go for the one you think you'll enjoy more. ;)

So what books you will recommend for study ? Or what you used to study Japanese?
@VoylinsLife
@VoylinsLife Жыл бұрын
Start with Minna No Nihongo 1 and 2, go over to these books and make lists with the vocab and grammar rules and put them in Anki (or use the premade ones on Memrise). After that, start reading real Japanese books. If I could start learning Japanese again, this is how I would have wanted to so it. This would have gotten my level high.in a short time 😉

@@VoylinsLife Hey just wondering can you make a video on a guide on how to use nihongo sou matome n5? I just got it and I don't know where to start and everything is in Japanese. I am learning Japanese from scratch and currently using Duolingo to help me learn Japanese. Is it possible? Please make it if you have time.

The Nihongo Sou Matome books are the only books at this moment which I really recommend. They give you a good pace and good amount of grammar points with exercises. I do wish there were more exercises, but overall very happy with these books 😊

It's better if you proceed to n4 n5 is not really that useful if you want to work in japan
@VoylinsLife
@VoylinsLife 2 ай бұрын
Even N4 isn't that useful to be honest. The market is flooded so without an N2 or N1 your chances of getting a job here as a foreigner without a valid visa are low. Companies don't like going through the trouble of arranging a work visa as it is a paperwork nightmare
