I used to do daily journaling, but never had the time to read back on it and also didn't think it was worth the time investment each day. Kind of felt like a way to procrastinate doing other stuff. So I basically switched to weekly journaling which helped me a lot more ^^

My grandma was born and raised in Japan and I've always wanted to go there with my kids and soak it all up! I found your channel through a comment section of another video. I loved this video as I'm starting a nonprofit for wirk I've already been doing on behalf of a Ugandan Orphanage since 2022. I'm very interested in learning how people donate to your causes and what link your using for people to do so as I'd like to start doing that on my learning videos my daughter and I create. If you can, tell me more about that please. Much gratitude, Dana

I'd be happy to help you with providing that info ;) I mainly use ko-fi as they have very low fees and if you earn enough you can just get the gold subscription (which is very cheap) which gives you a flat rate without any strings attached. I love their support. I also use itch.io to share Japanese language learning resources, people can download those for free but do get the option to donate for them. Then there is my KZfaq ad revenue which is not much but enough to make a difference. There are more way's that I'm working on right now but would prefer not to discus these inside of the comments but do feel free to send me an e-mail, you can find it on my youtube profile in the about section ;)

PHONE BILLS ADVICE: why dont you just use MNVOs? (MVNO stands for mobile virtual network operator, which means an operator uses the network of one of the major players.) Examples are Rakuten Mobile, LINEMO etc. I use Linemo, has data of 20 gb per month and only pay about 2000 yen. If lower gb per month, it will be just about 1,000 yen. This is not just a data sim, you can also call and send sms. Additional charges for call depending on minutes but theres also a plan like an additional fix monthly price for frequent callers.
@VoylinsLife2 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing your advice, really appreciate it ^^ I'm using Ymobile, which isn't one of the major players, but the main reason is connectivity issues in the area in which I live and often visit to as connectivity by some others is kind of spotty in those areas. I don't have the cheapest plan, but I do want to change to a cheaper one so I guess it's about time to look back into the previous issues I had to see if I can go cheaper or not ^^

Excellent video. Is it possible to repeat nihongo sentence twice and omit saying it in english, since we can read the english sentence and understand it anyway.
@VoylinsLife2 ай бұрын
This video was made to serve as many people as possible. The reason why I say the English sentences is for the people who also want to just listen to this video, that's why there are delay's between every spoken sentence. Making a one size fits all isn't easy so I took the best middle ground.

Conclusion: "Learning" kanji individually is a waste of time. Learn words.

It's something I personally struggled a lot with as well, best advice I can give is talk to people or yourself. Even just forcing yourself to think in Japanese could help. I know the advice from "Use Japanese early on" is kind of a common thing to say, but it is the best advice that I could give when trying to get over JLPT N4 level.
