Congratulations! What always facinates me is that at any point you were getting to 300lbs, you weren't healthy either, you weren't doing everything it takes even though you've shown to be capable, not just of losing it but continiously working on improving your body. My heaviest was when I was 10 but it still took me forever to make the necessary changes and when I did they kinda just happened as a side-effect of something else. Even recently my coach put me on a bulk (admittedly kind of needed, I started underweight, great results) but I left it get too far due to joint issues; my ability to walk decent distances was in danger. I felt it but it took me way too long to tell my trainer "Nope, bulk is done and we're gonna maintain somewhere in the middle." Since no aesthetic is worth losing the freedom walking gives me, that's what started my whole journey to begin with. It makes me feel there's hope for anyone, but at the same time so hopeless since I have no idea what might spark the change. Losing my whole family early to morbid obesity at this rate...

I broke 4 ribs one night, all on one side. I couldn’t even cough. Worse, I did it pissed and didn’t realise until midday the next day. Was driving my old Landrover home and couldn’t steer it around a roundabout. So bad.

I broke some ribs during (because of) the last trimester of pregnancy, and then had to give birth with broken ribs. Very ouch. All the doc would let me use for it was Ibuprofen gel. No painkillers. None during labour either as it was a home birth.

Yeah, it's horrible to see him bank on having a disability which i doubt he even does. Just being fat to make money is not a disability in my eyes.

I hope it's true, even if you are in that spot it's not as easy as just flipping a switch and changing.
