Only a few people will remember the video game that came with this. Nike made this into an interactive cd rom and you could play the tournament yourself as the players and do different skill challenges. I wish I still had that cd 😭

I thought these ads were the coolest thing ever .. I was around 18 at the time! I got a full centerfold out of the Teams from a magazine at the time and gave it to my little bro to hang up on his wall. We used to play games on pro evolution using these cool team names like tutti bene and equipo del fuego. Great times with my younger brother.

When Nike actually seemed to care about football (soccer). I bet Cantona was dying to join in. The out takes must have been hilarious. On the back of this advert JXL in Britain had a hit record of the Elvis revamp and Mas Que Nada (for the Brazil team at the airport) got a re-release and I think made the pop charts.

Totti was the last one to retire in 2017 iirc Edit: Turns out Ronaldinho officially retired after Totti. But Totti was still at a top club (Roma) while Ronaldinho (sadly) wasn't.
