Yeah this guy's right cause some games like Celeste and Karan Zero are platform games with not a single ounce of good graphics but they are so good that they are not even recognised by the majority of the gamers. AAA games such as Uncharted are so good but at one point they are really overrated and some really good games like Detroit : Become Human still remain underrated. Some people just get lost in graphics because they think graphics are the ends to the means to which they began to the play the game . Some good indie games take a long time to make but some indie games like katana zero took around more than 10 million dollars and more than 6 years but again not a lot of people have heard about it. The problem is that people don't know how to explore and they just play what they see when maybe they should go and explore other artists like Stardew Valley and Celeste. Games like Cyberpunk would be good by no competition but they are really overrated at this point and the same happened to Death Stranding because that game was so hyped and took away all the game "spotlight" and that game turned out to be Running Simulator 2019. Huge hats off to Indie game Developers and I support them as my steam library is legit full of them.

Finally! Someone from the relevant background talking about this. Just stumbled upon your video (maybe the youtube algorithm truly can read minds :P), but excellent clarification to us desi population regarding misconceptions towards the gaming industry. I regularly quote the fact that the gaming industry has more revenue than worldwide movie + music industry COMBINED !! :P My two cents on the matter -- AAA games are a huge beast today. But, they happened gradually. The first and foremost thing that India lacks is a market for this product. I was the only guy in all my friends, and their friends' friends, who had a PC that could run Mafia 1 when it launched back in the day (A Pentium 3 I believe :P). Also, my whole life, access to games has been (unfortunately) through unauthorized means (100Rs ki CDs, then DVDs etc.). Never could I hope to buy Original PC Games for 4K, 5K, etc. As a product, a Samurai or a Nintendo 8-Bit console back in the day was at the upper end of what parents could comfortably buy for their kids. Heck, most kids never bothered exploring game cartridges like 3-in-1s or 5-in-1s, 7-in-1s, which had premium games not available everywhere. But when the PS2 launched, 18K in 2003 for a 'VIDIO GAME" was not something every kid could even THINK of asking their parents to buy. The same pattern follows in PS3, and PS4. However, slowly and gradually, gaming started to penetrate deeper in India, prices started being adjusted realistically (My first ever AAA Game Purchase was GTA 4 PC; It was 500 Rs!!! Still don't know how they managed that). PC gaming, in turn, is a bigger headache. Outdated components, which are already overpriced as compared to the rest of the world, and many PC gamers stay PC gamers for a generation or 2, before slowly fading away. Long story short, the reason India doesn't have AAA gaming companies is because of a dearth of local market. The exception to the rule has been Pubg Mobile, a game that has achieved the popularity of cult-classics like GTA, NFS, Call Of Duty, etc. I guess it was a happy coincidence of three things -- A surge in mid-range android devices in the country (when Pubg Mobile launched in 2017, everyone had a decent-enough touchscreen device that could play the game. Haan, space kaafi logon ke paas available nahi thi us waqt phones pe :P Secondly, the ever-improving internet connectivity/inrastructure, and the rise of economical players like Jio, enabled the Casual Desi log to enjoy truly multiplayer gaming! Voice chat, teamplay, and other connected gaming concepts pratically started in a big way with Pubg Mobile (I won't count CS or DOTA, as its not for casuals by ANY means). Thirdly, Population. We have the most number of teenage/youngsters in the world. We had a mix of (A) he youngest population, which have recently gained (B) access to gaming-capable devices (Smartphones), and (C) good connectivity. I doubt Pubg Mobile had foreseen India as such a major market, but now is EXACTLY the time when we should start looking at exploring the possibilities P.S. -- I have been an avid gamer ever since the dawn of wolf3d and dave! Over time, I pursued an animation diploma, specializing in VFX (ended up not using the skill in my field of employment). Naturally, i've passively followed the growth of the gaming industry in its magnificent journey. I had some questions/queries around the mobile game market in India, and was wondering if you'd wish to discuss/waste your time talking to me?

Nikhil I started out few months back with absolutely zero knowledge in anything. I have submitted 2 gamejam games so far and working on few more. The best thing about gamedev is it's always a new challenge and exciting as well. One has to think a lot sometimes and sometimes it becomes to easy. It's like magic. But having said it does take a lot of effort and hardwork to put your creativity out there. Patience is also a key here.

Hello iam also new in unity game development. I just make a running cube with forward force and add left and right force so we can avoid some wall in our way ... I try other things alos but I don't have any idea now what should I need to do now ... U just what video on KZfaq and try it but I can't make it as same as KZfaq videos I know iam still beginner I need to try so much more ... Learn more things about unity ... I Just wanna know what can I do next ... Shoud I keep watch KZfaq videos and try to make it .. Or I need to buy some online class and Star from very beginning ... Or you can suggest me ... KZfaq tutorials are definitely a great place to start and learn, but I certainly feel the more you practice coding and other things on your own the more your mind opens to new ideas and thoughts. You should get accustomed to reading scripting API's on the unity site and other sites such as stack overflow. These will take time to understand and sometimes even be frustrating but believe me it builds confidence and understanding of game mechanics more than anything. As of now with the game you can definitely play a similar game to it and get to know how to make it fun and engaging. Here are a few things that I can think of now :- 1. You can add pickups such as health booster or speed booster which increases health and speed respectively. 2. You can keep a battery attached to the cube that decreases the more the cube moves ahead in the game and also decreases faster with faster speed. 3. You can also add invisible pickups in the game which when the player collects can make it invisible and can evade all walls and obstacles. 4. You can add particle effects with audio as well for every collision or cube interaction to surrounding elements. 5. You can make a shop system that has different types of cube with different types of characteristics related to speed, health etc These are some of the things I can think of now. Try taking everything one by one and break it into smaller parts and work on each aspect. Hope it helps. Good luck with the game. Cheers ✌️✌️✌️

Hi nikhil. I am a software system engineer in a big mnc. I am earning a good amount of money in life just at 21 yrs of age. But I love game programming more than anything I do at work. Whenever I get time I keep creating small games and try to further develop my skills. But I do not have any connections with people in real life who are also invested in making games. I have a great idea for a game, it's feasible and I have already started building a prototype but I won't be able to finish it in atleast 2 years. I need a team. A good team so that production speed can be increased. Can you please guide me how to find like minded people and how to form an efficient team with them?

It's called mocap or motion capture ..a professional mocap studio will cost u 3 or 4 lakh... But u can buy a mocap suit for 50 or 60k... U can find tutorial on mocap... Yes u can do it for free but not so professional
