i truly hope this can bring awareness to bipolar and its spectrum. i'm diagnosed with bipolar NOS because my mania isnt consistant (i can rapid cycle for a few months, and then it would level out, and then it would go into remission, wash rinse repeat) and because of this my symptoms dont fit the category of bipolar I or II. when i'm manic, i could be percieved as an ENTIRELY different person. i would stay up for days on end and i also got arrested in a similar fashion to nikita. i see a LOT of people saying "i hope she's unproblematic now" but we as a society HAVE TO UNDERSTAND that bipolar is a cycle (its in the name!) and she WILL go through periods of stability, and instability throughout her lifetime. thats apart of the disorder, and it CAN go into remission, yes. what i'm trying to say is, we as a society need to be more aware of how DEBILITATING these disorders can be, even in the slightest form. people sat there and mocked gabbie hanna for two years straight calling her manic that when she DID get diagnosed, she was made to feel that ALL MANIC EPISODE WERE BAD. this is NOT TRUE. manic episodes are different for EVERYONE, and its why we need to stop using the word so flippantly! we need to stop treating people so horribly JUST because they have influence. theyre JUST as human as you and me, and they are GOING TO FUCK UP. allow them the grace to do so, and they may surprise you with their turnaround. no one can do better if you made them feel like they will never be able to.

People with Bipolar disorder please have no shame or conflicting feelings about medicine, you need it. As someone who knows what it’s like to be bipolar I can tell you finding the right medicine can be just as hard as the disorder but I promise when you find the right medicine your bipolar disorder will go in remission and you CAN live a normal life (without all the symptoms and voices ect.) . I highly recommend if you have a health condition, just know that medicine is meant to help you. I don’t know why people brag (not Nikita at all just other people) about not taking meds even if they are in pain. Meds are not supposed to hurt you and they do not make you weak! If you have cancer you’ll take the meds if you have a mental health problem meds will help. It took me years to settle with my meds but I am so much happier and in my remission I do not fear falling back into mania and depression. Btw it is so dangerous not to be in the right mind you can spend all your money and do risky behaviors when you are manic it’s not just a feeling mania you do and say crazy stuff. Therapy does not cure bipolar disorder or all other mental health conditions. There is something wrong with our brains but meds can and will help🙏 I wish everyone a happy life no matter how you need to help yourself. We all struggle and for some of us it’s something wrong with our brain, not just emotional or short term mental issues. I just want to end the stigma that meds are bad.

I hope she does take breaks from social media. It can be an extremely toxic environment even if you dont have bipolar. My best friends sister is bipolar and untreated and has caused her family so much stress and anxiety. I hope NIkita sticks with getting help for it and doesnt let social media life take over her mental health.

Drama will always exist. Celebrities/Influencers come & go but drama between anyone will always be there. We can only hope for for the "problematic" ones to get better; not for us, but themselves. Im glad Nikita is prioritizing her health. Will that erase everything she's done? No, not at all. Are the communities she's harmed obligated to forgive her? No, that's up to them. However, her honesty about her diagnosis will help her get better so she can move forward & be a better person. Cheers to everyone (myself included) living with their mental health! Whether it be bipolar, depression, anxiety, adhd, exc., life is a complete shit hole with confusing twists & turns but at least we have today. Cheers! Love you all!

I'm glad she's gotten help. One thing I think that's a positive is that she is trying to give an honest opinion on medication. One of my favorite youtubers Plumbella talked about her mental health and it really helped me go to a doctor and brave through the process and now I'm properly medicated and diagnosed and I am actually able to function like a normal person

When I first started taking medication for anxiety i was terrified it was going to turn me into a different person, that it was going to affect my creativity, and it honestly made me feel more like myself. im still trying to find the right meds but it at least gives me hope. i hope nikita keeps getting better, mental health is tricky and i hope she finds the right path for her.

Gorgeous Gorgeous Humans take their meds, Bad Bitches Take their meds ❤️❤️❤️ I’m so proud of her!!!! Of course I’m not the biggest fan of hers and she’s done a lot of questionable things but I’m so proud of her. And you’re right it does make us feel less alone. When people we look up to show that it’s okay to not be okay, and show their fans that they aren’t the only one with XYZ. ❤️❤️❤️

I may not like her tbh but I'm glad she's gotten help, I know the struggle with bipolar & honestly its super hard & talking about it is so tough, much less doing it so publicly

as someone who struggles deeply with many mental health issues, has family and friends who suffer with it all as well, i think this is extremely important. however it is important to remember that mental health is an explanation…not an excuse. having mental health issues does not mean you have an excuse to do awful things. i hope she grows and tries to do better.

My parents thought my anti-depressants were a scam, they told me it was a placebo and ever since I’ve felt so much doubt and confusion on whether I should keep taking them or not 😭

seeing her be serious and authentic for once felt so refreshing, i genuinely wanted to hear her talk more. So happy she got diagnosed and is being helped now, she deserves the peace of mind no matter what we think of her

I feel her I’ve done the same manic shit and it’s confusing scary and embarrassing if I didn’t have the friends and family I did I don’t think I would’ve made it.
