So they usually get a cell to them self while they “work it out” and knows where to place her. I’m so glad NO ONE bailed her out at first! I would left her there even if I was her manager/team.. Bet even they are sick and tired of her behavior at this point! I know I would be... She got what she deserved, no doubt! And we have no idea the kind of treatment she has or has not had. Plus you can have a manic episode on meds and while getting treatment. It’s shitty she did that stuff and mentally ill people aren’t criminals, but mania is a debilitating and dangerous state. If anything she should have been hospitalized not thrown in jail. There’s a reason we talk about insanity pleas. It’s accepted that there’s a difference between when someone chooses to commit a crime and when someone is experiencing an illness that causes them to do that. It’s unfortunate crimes were committed, but that is actually not incongruent with mania. Being mentally ill doesn’t make you a criminal, but mania is a dangerous mental state that literally can cause you to commit crimes and literally make you a criminal. Before meds I stole money and put my family at risk during COVID. I’m on lithium now and getting better. I feel awful I did those things, but I literally was not in my right mind. It seems like you don’t understand mania specifically or the concept of the legal system in regards to “insanity”

There’s a difference between supplying extra blankets because you’re cold and compromising jail security. They don’t house opposite sex inmates for obvious reasons. Adding a woman to a unit where she can physically impregnate inmates is the issue. 99% of jails don’t have housing specifically for trans people that isn’t also with sex offenders. And I assure you the jails surely do not care about human rights or fairness.
