Oh, God...this is beautiful and unbearably sad at the same time. I love how you showed the progression of Michael and Nikita's story from beginning to end...as if Nikita is remembering it that way. I also love your excellent use of symmetry between their past and present moments. Black-and-white for their past and color for their present was an excellent touch. The music is perfect and haunting, and the final scenes just rip my heart out.
