@@SRBOMBONICA86 Umm ... you're aware that this doesn't really have anything to do with being able to "afford" it, right? I mean yeah of course, sadly the sustainable clothes she wears or her jewelry are not affordable to ordinary people except if you save up for it for a long time. But still, Nikki actually shared some ways to be more environment-friendly on her Instagram like reducing waste, recycling, reducing use of plastic, buying products by local farms, etc. You don't have to "afford" to care, you know, you just need to care :)

And many TVD/Delena/Nina stans follow Nikki on Instagram and know how much good she’s doing for this planet and animals or see how Ian constantly praises her for being an amazing person, yet they still mindlessly hate on her simply because she isn’t Nina…

@Rawr Lion yes you are right but also celebrities who make these lines always come up with high prices, claim it's because of sustainability etc. but then you look at other sustainable, local businesses and realize that the prices don't have to be so high, even if it's sustainable. There's always the added value of buying stuff from celebrities which makes their products pricy. Even the fact that they start a line of products which already exists in the world - we don't need that, we don't need to grow diamonds in California, we need to stop fires in California and take better care of water sources... These celebrities can call anything environmental today but then sell their items all over the world like bye sustainability, profit is more important. If they really wanted sustainability, they would sell their stuff only locally - they have enough contacts to actually sell the stuff even if they only do in person shopping, they can also manage more shops at various locations and thus create MORE jobs etc. But the real question is if we even need more product and if we should support consumerism like this when there are enough products in the world, even enough products like this.

Bingo! I was just about to write that too. I've checked the brand she got her suit from and the blazer by itself is around 900 dollars!! I mean come on. If people / celebrities want to promote sustainability then why don't they create something for the same price we get stuff from Topshop or Other Stories - things are still expensive from there but at least it would be more affordable for us to be sustainable too. I'd love to be sustainable but unfortunately a lot of sustainable places that have cheap ish clothes are all looking like they've been made for a granny. No hate against Nikki here - I'm just saying it would be better if they'd promote something that us - lower and mid classes could follow too.

If I was a celebrity and was trying to promote sustainable clothing I would make a brand that has similar pricing to Topshop / other stories clothing and instead of mass produce it would be made to order. If I was a celebrity a lot of fans would like to wear what I'm wearing AND they would be able to afford my clothing therefore I would actually be making a bigger impact.

​@Rawr Lion what are you talking about - there is A LOT of small businesses that are producing sustainable clothing and the prices are around £50-£100 and it's great. All I'm saying is if I was a huge influencer knowing that I can make a change by giving an example - I would make sure I'm giving an affordable example. Also please don't educate me on why things are expensive - I also have a friend who launched a sustainable and affordable clothing line and another friend who's done similar but with jewellery. So people can do it, there are small businesses that do it. It's possible. As Karla said previously what is the point of creating something so expensive if not many people can afford it. If you're rich then that's great, but that already means you're not shopping at Primark therefore you are not, as a consumer, as big of a problem than a lower class person who can't afford a basic t-shirt for $$$ therefore they go to Primark to get it. I hope you'll finally understand my point. If not - never-mind.

@Rawr Lion but not many people know about those affordable brands. Our point is that if the celebrities were promoting sustainable AND affordable clothing it would be better - more people would be able to follow.

Because as she said her creations are fine jewellery and meant to be like heirlooms that you have for ages so high quality whilst also being sustainable as it uses old fine metals from like computers and also using mined fine metals, not like cheap and fashion fashion costume jewellery.

@@MJfan1982 There's many people who buy it.. she's doing much more good than the fast fashion company's.. it's not realistic to want something really high quality but not wanting to pay for the material and hard work that goes in it.. there are other options at market too if it's out of the price range you'd like.. no one's forced to buy and she actually sells too.
