This is definitely inspiring. I might try and do a full face but have pieces broken away, chipped away, and showing naturally skin. I did a similar look for "Smiling Depression" and my director loved the concept but thought my execution could have been better and he helped me out a lot. This video also gave me some tips but it makes me really want to do that look again but make it fun rather than medical

Makeup shaming is most definitely still alive. I only own some powder a brow pencil and mascara and i get makeup shamed for just wearing that on a regular basis. I dont get it. When i do wear makeup its as natural as possible but people still judge me for wearing mascara to practice or filling in my eyebrows when i leave the house.

There’s a ton of makeup shaming in my community too. I live in a farming community in the Bible Belt and most women don’t wear makeup. I hear a lot of “makeup is for sluts” type comments, I get shamed by everyone for wearing makeup on the farm, and men are always so confused and make comments like “you have something shiny on your eyes” or “what’s on your face” and “why are your lips a funny color”. Everyone also believes the entire reason for wearing makeup is to seduce a man! A boy being able to wear makeup here is out of the question, his life would literally be in danger for doing that. Where did these crazy stigmas about makeup even come from?!?! I seriously pray these people evolve someday.

I would love for you to do something based on your skin pulled up tutorial last year, but instead of a demon I’d like to see the face of an elderly women who shows her young soul underneath the wrinkles - damn I hope I am able to make this idea understandable 😄... I lost my granny two years ago at 90 years old and up until she got too sick of cancer and Alzheimer’s she always showed, that on the inside she’s still a young woman who is interested in the world and what it has to offer 👵🏻💃🏻

I swear when god made Nikkie he must have been playing favourites when it came to adding talent and precise motor movements because thats the only explainable reason she can make anything to do with makeup look like perfection sprinkled with glitterly shock and a dash of awe, I'm like 97% sure this is the only reason.

Personally, I think that some people can use makeup as a mask because they are insecure and want to cover imperfections on their skin, etc. I started makeup when i was 8 or 9, because pimples, blemishes and colour imperfections started to creep out. So, my makeup journey sprouted from using concealer to cover insecurities, but now it is an art to me, something I use to express myself, It has now become a hobby to me. To everyone who feels that they must use makeup to cover up, don't feel that that way. Use the pigments and colours to express yourself, create a piece of art, a masterpiece on that beautiful face of yours. And if you don't want to use makeup, that's fine!
