After 50 milliones sold albums Meat Loaf (rock-icon from USA) is back with ..."Bat Out Of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose"! First singel from that album "It's All Coming Back" it's a wonderful duet together with the norwegian artist Marion Raven. The song is a classic Jim Steinman ballade, original written for Bat Out Of Hell 2, Celine Dion got it (1996) and was a mega-hit, but this version is AMAZING !

Count me in, but Jim needs to be in too. Separately they were both great but together, they were the power twins. Meats weakest albums were the ones when they were on the outs, and Steinmans songs were good by other artists, but together they were rocket fuel. (Able to do amazing things, but also had the potential to go wrong and wreck property values lol) R.i.p. Meat and Jim, music will never be the same.

Once upon a time, there was a great song. Celine Dion, one of the finest singers in the world, brought people to tears when she sang it. Then Meat Loaf and Marion Ravn collaborated on it. If Celine Dion scored a home run, Meat Loaf and Marion Ravn knocked it completely out of the ballpark. Theirs is the definitive version of this powerful song. Meat Loaf was the background track of everyone who grew up in my generation. From the Rocky Horror Picture Show and Bat Out Of Hell, through Back Into Hell and everything since, his powerful voice (and excellent screen presence) were the backdrop of several generations. And this song with the incredibly talented Marion Ravn really is one of the finest songs I’ve ever heard. Rest In Peace Meat Loaf - you will live on in the hearts and minds of so many.

When Meatloaf makes a music video, he really goes all out. He makes them so hauntingly beautiful and dark. So many colors, and the dresses for the women are so sexy and long. And I love when he sings his songs as a duet. He maks them slow and calm with emotion behind each and every word.

"I'm living in a powder keg and giving off sparks." Nothing I can say a Total Eclipse of the Heart." All the stars in the sky are taking aim at your eye's like a spotlight." Don’t know where I heard this, but after Jim Steinman wrote this, Meatloaf got ahold of it and he thought it was so beautiful that it brought him to his knees. He said, “Jim... you have to give me this song. You have to let me sing this song.” Jim said no because it was supposed to be for a female vocalist. I’m so glad Meatloaf eventually was able to do a cover of this song because this version is so perfect and emotional. This song was meant for Meatloaf. Rest In Peace, Jim Steinman.

Yes I believe he didn't get near enough recognition either, but I also believe he didn't really care about that. Yes, he cared about his fans, but I believe he cared more for rock and roll then he did about recognition. You can hear the passion in the ones who genuinely care about the music they make, from any genre, rather then the ones who just want to be known. I think that's at least one of the reasons Meatloaf was so great. He had true passion in what he did.

There were nights when the wind was so cold That my body froze in bed if I just listened to it right outside the window There were days when the sun was so cruel That all the tears turned to dust and I just knew my eyes were drying up forever I finished crying in the instant that you left And I can't remember where or when or how And I banished every memory you and I have ever made But when you touch me like this (touch me like this) And you hold me like that (hold me like that) I just have to admit that it's all coming back to me When I touch you like this (touch you like this) And I hold you like that (hold you like that) It's so hard to believe but it's all coming back to me now It's all coming back It's all coming back to me now There were moments of gold and there were flashes of light There were things I'd never do again but then they'd always seemed right There were nights of endless pleasure It was more than any laws allow-baby, baby! If I kiss you like this (kiss you like this) And if you whisper like that (whisper like that) It was lost long ago but it's all coming back to me If you want me like this (if you want me like this) And if you need me like that (if you need me like that) It was dead long ago but it's all coming back to me It's so hard to resist and it's all coming back to me I can barely recall, but it's all coming back to me now.... But you were history with the slamming of the door And I made myself so strong again somehow And I never wasted any of my time on you since then! But if I touch you like this (touch you like this) And if you kiss me like that (kiss me like that) It was so long ago but it's all coming back to me If you touch me like this (touch me like this) And if I kiss you like that (kiss you like that) It was gone with the wind but it's all coming back to me now It's all coming back It's all coming back to me now There were moments of gold and there were flashes of light There were things we'd never do again but they'd always seemed right There were nights of endless pleasure It was more than all your laws allow-baby, baby, baby! When you touch me like this (touch me like this) And when you hold me like that (hold me like that) It was gone with the wind but it's all coming back to me When you see me like this (see me like this) And when I see you like that (see you like that) Then we see what we want to see-all coming back to me The flesh and the fantasies-all coming back to me I can barely recall, but it's all coming back to me now.... If you forgive me all this (forgive me all this) If I forgive you all that (forgive you all that) We forgive and forget and it's all coming back to me now It's all coming back to me now We forgive and forget And it's all coming back to me now....
