The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad's recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.
My love for the game only continues to grow as time goes on. I love studying and analyzing the game, with an unbiased perspective. Feel free to subscribe, follow me on social media, and celebrate this amazing game and it's rich history with me!

Top 20 at least. It's not simply the accomplishments themselves. It's also just his actual skill on the basketball court. Literally the only thing he doesn't do well is rim protection. He can do everything else and does most of those things better than everyone else.

Agree, like i understand the joy u get from a player thats super athletic who just outpaces/out jumps everyone. I mean westbrook is one of my fav players ever. Yes he makes bad decisions at times but his athleticism and hustle is sth else. However, i sure as hell really appreciate players who just know how to play the game even though they dont have the "physical attributes" in the conventional sense. The Joker is easily one of the most entertaining and fun players ever but unfortunately, for so/too many ppl, unless u run/jump higher than everyone and are flashy, then somehow u aint entertaining...

It made no sense to me. I watched how Rudy defended Jokic and the defense was great, really great. The footwork was great, hands up, up close, recovery was quick, there even was an 80s style handchecking where Rudy was using his forearm to bar and forcefully push Jokic away from the rim when he was driving. Never once I saw Rudy lost Jokic even until contesting his shots. Jokic just fought through him head-on and kept hitting difficult shots. And somehow these sports media "analysts" tries to spin it as Rudy's fault and not because Jokic was simply playing great.

Jokic is unreal. I wish Tim Duncan, David Robinson, or Hakeem was around to really test how great The Joker really is. Dude was awesome these past 3 games, but Rudy isn't the test those guys would be. Also, Ant needs to watch some MJ or even Kawhi Leonard videos on how they beat double-teams. He can't give up the ball just because two guys are guarding him.

Coming from a heat fan, I can’t but not damn appreciate the absolute greatness im seeing, he reminds me of a prime LeBron or Kobe or Mike… they made the game look easy and effortless, he does it with such an amazing flow it feels so natural you think you can do it too(you can’t, he just makes it seem like it, his flow and effortless dominance feels like he is the greatest right now without question)
@jamiekelley4076
@jamiekelley4076 Ай бұрын
My hottest take ever might be that what we're seeing from Jokic right now is the closest we've seen in dominance to an early 90s Jordan's control of the game. I'm not saying they are the same type of player. It's just the way they seem to have figured out the game and get anything and everything they want and doesn't matter what you throw at them.
@jordanjenkins1671

Tim Duncan, Bird/Magic are great comparisons for this kind of dominance we've seen from Jokic. What Jokic may lack defensively (compared to MJ and Duncan) he more than makes up for with his multiple-threat offensive package.

Yeah Jonny, you got damn right he is. I understand that 2 titles are maybe little to put some player in top 10. But considering the fact that Steph Curry won 4 of them and two of them were with Kevin Durant and Steph wasn't even the best player when he won those titles, when you look at the fact that Larry Bird won 3 titles and he is top 10 undeniable, when you look at the fact that Lebron won 4 titles and he won his first 2 after leaving Cleavlend and playing with Wade and Bosh and he is 2nd all time... Jokic with his first 2 titles maybe doesn't have better career than Lebron, but for me he definitely has better legacy than him because he won them without a single all star player and he won them without changing his team and he also has better legacy that Steph who only won 1 Finals MVP and 2 MVPs while Jokic would have 2 Finals MVPs and 3 MVPs if he wins a championship. And his overall numbers in both regular season and play offs are way better than Bird's dedpite the fact that Bird is legend so yeah... With one more title and Finals MVP, Jokic has some arguments for being top 10 player ever.

Hello Jonny, as a french and a long time fan of Rudy, what Jokic did in that game, and especially in the third quarter, was a masterpiece. Because Rudy did an awesome job in defense, but Jokic seemed to be able to make every shot.

Hey, Jonny! Unfortunately, I missed yesterday's game to busyness. I read about it though and wish I saw it. Nonetheless, Jokic amazes me. I like how he is able to use both his size and finesse (and great shooting skills, including from long range) to dominate. He is incredible and I like your comparison to Hakeem (and the Rudy Tomjanovich quote you shared). I also think it's cool how you spoke without a script for this video. Your scripted videos are great, but this one is awesome too. Hope you're doing well. Take care.

Hakeem is my number 2 all time and I also felt the same way when I was watching these games. And he is number 2 with just 2 championships under his belt simply because of how dominant he was in that time on both ends of the court. I was late to the party since I stopped watching NBA and only started back last year and I was saying Joker is the best player right now and he proved me tight when he lost the mvp vote and went on to win the chip and FMVP. I said from back then I want him do a back to back at minimum but now I want the 3 peat He is that good a player and it's that he also elevates the play of those around him since he gives them great opportunities to score. His defense is underrated because he isn't a pure shot blocker he would more likely strip you of the ball when you are about to jump and he positions himself for the rebounds. Dude is simply amazing and it's unfortunate he has to win titles just to make the media look foolish

👏 As always, excellent content Jonny. I agree with you that Anthony Edward’s needs to learn how to split defenses. I think with the way that team is currently configured he would benefit greatly from implementation of the Triangle offense. Would love to hear your thoughts on that.

Dear Jonny Arnett, You’ll probably never see this comment and I know this isn’t the correct video to ask this, but I think these would be good questions for your Q & A video since they’re a bit on controversial side: 1) Do you think the reason Catlin Clark is getting some disrespect from some WNBA media folks and former WNBA players is because they don’t want the WNBA to become popular because of someone who’s a white heterosexual? Do you think things would be different if she was Black &/or non heterosexual? 2) How did you feel about Mahmoud Abdul Rauof situation when you first learned about it and has your attitudes changed over time? 3) What do you think about the fact that all the best NBA players are now foreigners? Should the NBA restore the balance btw American & foreign NBA superstars? If so, what would you do I hate doing this, but I’m gonna have to ask for likes so that Arnett sees this. I’d love for him to respond to this in his 200 Questions video as it’d spice it up. Call me Isiah Thomas cause I'm stoking controversy.

@@jonnyarnettPersonally, you can skip the Rauf question since it happened so long ago. However, I think you should cover the Clark question and foreign player questions since they’re hot topics right now. I’m sure someone has already asked questions about Clark & Foreign NBA players, so if you want to be creative you could try and lump my question in with another viewer so that you can cover more ground

In the last seconds of the game, KCP sprinted to Jokic to get the ball, so that Jokic would remain at 0 turnovers. It's not that he would care but that shows how his teammates view him. Everything he gives them, they want to pay back somehow. That's the Tim Duncan part of his game.

Ngl my mind was absolutely blown when the talking heads started spelling doom for the defending champs with the reigning MVP/Best player... and I say this as a LBJ fan/KD Stan. 2-0 lead is regarded as the most dangerous lead in hockey for a reason. It's almost like the NBA is some sort of WWE enterprise where storylines are more important than the competition. Is this a premade storyline being put into action? Push the new greatest in the league while giving attention/respect to the one most likely to compete/succeed them in the future? Makes perfect sense as LBJ gets ready to leave the league. What doesn't make sense was the reaction to the first 2 games.
