The mainstream media have a big role in turning them into idiots. The media see leidiot as a cash cow so they keep on pushing narrative and excuses. In my opinion, they should have promoted the up and coming athletes to boost ratings/ viewership not this toxic lechoke.

True.., they invested so much money in LeBron, that they have to push the narrative out cause they would kot make the profits they expected, remember Nike's billboard "We are all witness" ? They did that cause new basketball fans that witness Jordan's last part of his glory were desperate to have their own version of greatness, no one was around, Kobe was just being accused with that legal issue so they could not use him, so they put all their eggs in one basket and chose LeBron..., but when they saw thay he was just a dissapointment, they had to push narratives cause his accomplishments were not enough..., meanwhile, the next best thing has been around for a couple of years, but they are doing their best to hide it cause is not what they call super athlete and is not american. But those who really knows basketball, knows that Jokic is the best we have seen since Jordan.

Haters of one particular team/athlete and people who are just plain jealous will say anything to minimize the accomplishments of others - because their favorites have never achieved it, and probably never will. Destroys the "Super Athlete" era, because team sports never *has* been, and never *will* be about how athletic a player is. Skill and game smarts trumps raw athleticism every day of the week. Jokic is just another example of that... The fact that the American media has managed to sell their public the idea that you have to be athletically gifted to not only compete on the highest level, but absolutely dominate, is baffling to me to me as a European. Growing up playing sports for us was never about how fast a dude could run - it was about how technical & skilful he was. How athletic a guy was wasn't even so much as a thought to gauge how good a player was... It's sad because you think of how many skilled players we may have never got to see just because they didn't jump as high as the next guy...

And that's how it is across sports in general. IQ of the game trumps athleticism every time. For example, I watch boxing as well and you watch Floyd vs Canelo. Canela definitely had the physical advantage but Floyd was able to outclass him due to his boxing IQ.

Their unwarranted hate is prohibiting them from not only doing their jobs (jobs that pay them millions of dollars) to the best of their ability, it’s robbing them from taking advantage of their front row seat in witnessing one of the most unique athletes in the history of major professional sports. Like you mentioned in this video, Skap, Jokic has revolutionized the center position. We are witnessing greatness on a level that has never seen before at the center position. He is truly a once in a generation talent, and I’m grateful that I get to watch this guy play. As fans of the game of basketball, we should all appreciate and celebrate his talent.
