I kind of wonder if they had had a little disagreement over this, and if Gwen had had some discussions with the writers, and had had to listen to her (rightly) complain about the situation. IDK why he won't even mention that he wanted something changed. It's just a strange interaction.

Well he says, automatically “that would...be nice” like until he is like whoops. So it was almost before he can stop himself. Brienne survives for sure and I think Jaime might too. And their last scene is Tarth.

Maybe.... Jaime is going back to Westeros to die with Cersei but when Brienne shows up, he kills Cersei to protect her. Then, dies in Brienne's arms.

I can't find that interview now, but Gwen actually said she was mad at the writers for the way they ended things for Brienne. That was one of the initial interviews. But I think the production spoke to her and since then she hasn't openly criticized. Even here u see Nik was giving monosyllabic replies and as soon as she starts talking, he looks at her almost as if expecting her to rant and give out a spoiler by mistake (which she ultimately may be even did, with the 20years after thingy).

Anuradha C i think you may mean the one from march where she said: “I had lots of questions (about Brienne’s ending). If there’s a character you care about and you feel like they go through some sort of hell you feel protective toward them.” Which doesn’t sound AS definitive and mad af from her side but it leaves me worried a lot. I’m pretty sure she isn’t dying in 803, because Gwen also said there’s way more Brienne than we’re used to. I just think if she goes to KL, she may fight in cleganebowl, gets killed, jaime kills cersei in between and they die together? It sounds cheap just writing it. Whatever interview Gwen made, she understands Brienne so much and what she represents in the patriarchal society, that if she didn’t really like her ending (not overall ending), I’m actually anxious because Brienne means a great deal to me.

@@monikavec Yes that's the one. I didn't mean it in a negative way that she shouldn't have criticized. I just meant that in that interview she was more open, but seems like since then someone asked her to not give away so much!! I'm also very scared for both J&B. They are my OTP!! I honestly don't know how I'm going to handle their deaths, if it happens. Even I don't think she dies in E3. But then....it's GoT ... For all we know she could and become a wight and then Jamie may have to kill her .... Idk ..I don't even want to think about all of that! I would have loved to see the writers go down the track to make Jamie Azor Ahai....but in 4 episodes, m not expecting much. I think it'll be the cliched and Jon is gonna kill the night king, Jamie will kill Cersei...and so on!

Anuradha C oh i agree with you, i was just struck for a moment because it didn’t seem as mad BUT how mad could she be, right, not openly yet at least, i’m so excited about all the interviews afterwards so we know what she thinks. But then again, it probably won’t be as open because it’s a press, not a friendly get-together. I ship them hard as well, for me, their relationship (whether romantic or not, but i do see it as romantic and i’m usually not for making a romance out of everyone’s relationship but with these two, it’s substantial and important that this is included) is the strongest and most complex in the whole story. I’m not picturing babies and rainbows but them having an epic death in some later episode which would make sense and be deserving for their separate and intertwined story arcs... that would be amazing (i’m all for them living but if it came to that...). And these comments suggest we won’t get that. My biggest worry is for Brienne as a female character being ultimately used as a plot device for Jaime’s arc as a general trope in such situations, about what Jaime would feel and how would he be reacting towards the people that caused the situation (Cersei, then killing her, the dying himself). But what makes me also think she’ll survive this episode is her comment on “i thought they killed me off screen” which suggests that she may get a good fighting scene but won’t appear for a long time during the battle.

Maybe just her, though. It doesn't mean Jaime is included. Us includes just her and others. In those others, Jaime could be or not there. (He looked quite happy when she said it, though, just for an instant at the beginning, so perhaps we can hope?)

Joe Kerr i’m actually hopeful because everyone expects everyone to die so maybe it won’t be as black as we think it will be. This actually gave me an enormous hope for the upcoming episodes when Gwen made the comment about 20 years time.

If Jon, Dany and Jaime are killed.... that leaves Tyrion to inherit. That would be really unexpected.

I've been convinced since about season 6 that the throne will be destroyed by a dragon. Daenerys always said she wanted to break the wheel, then she refused to sit on it in her vision.

I can speak Tagalog with perfect sentence structure as she has with English, and yet my tone comes off strange. I recognise that she, as many other interviewers do more subtly, is trying to obtain spoilers, but the main quality that defined the interview as bad was the lack of engagement.

These actors are doing tons of interviews on a daily basis. If they give out a spoiler by mistake, there's nothing much GoT production can do about it!! Akshita Singh I’ll air my opinions if I want to, who are you to tell me otherwise? In regards to your internet boast about a minor in journalism I don’t much care. HBO can ask all they like, if a publisher wants to publish something they will. The first two episodes were already leaked early, and we’ve seen multiple sources for story leaks already. Including the most notorious, Friki.

He says "That would... Be nice", I think he was about to say " That would be impossible", but then he bit his tongue. Anyway, he could still work if the were flashbacks (at least a few minutes in a few episodes 🤔)
