I have gotten so many compliments since I started learning how to put on my makeup. I am 71 yrs old and have to wear oxygen prongs in my nose when I am out so I wanted to looked the best I can. Thanks so much for brightening my spirits! Love your videos.

@@yw2274What I love about Nikol is that she finds nice dupes for the expensive products she uses. Do I expect her to wear the dupes? No. She finds nice alternatives for those of us who can’t afford to buy expensive cosmetics. When I was looking for makeup tutorials, I was looking at all my options. A lot of people think they are makeup artists. I saw Nikol and thought to myself, This a no brainer. She’s an adult, and her makeup is flawless.

Hi Nikol! Just wanted to say, i had gone to your beauty website, I put a few items I really wanted in my cart (makeup brushes included), and was debating whether to purchase all that I had in the cart, or purchase half and wait a couple of weeks to purchase the rest. Last night my brother came to visit and asked: "where is your christmas list? I need to know because Im clueless what to get you". 😁Needless to say, he purchased ALL the items I wanted. The only downside is: I have to wait till christmas morning, because he will be receiving it at his address 🤣🤣. I can hardly wait!!! Many hugs to you!

Hi Nikol, I am discovering skin care and makeup in my 50s. I seem to be sporadic about it, but since I found your channel, I've found the fun in it. You've inspired me to want to get made up for the day even when I'm hanging out around the house. I went through chemo six years ago and it wrecked my lashes and brows. It made me not really want to go through the trouble of even putting on mascara. I did get microblading because I looked ghostly. It's hard for me to follow makeup tutorials because I"m Asian and my lids are different. But, you've encouraged me to just try things and not worry about mistakes. Also, as you said, "less is more" as we age. I was trying to follow young people and discovered I only looked cakey and worse with makeup. I've purchased over $200 of your products and am loving them all. I don't use them all, all of the time, but it's nice to have access to what works. Thank you for representing us and loving us enough to provide your product line.

Congrats on surviving your illness and trying to make the most of your days now. Imo when it comes to makeup, just take each day as it comes and stick with the basics when you don't want to go to the trouble of applying makeup. Perhaps a tinted moisturizer and a lipgloss or sheer lipstick is all you need to feel good some days. As far as watching influencers, I recommend watching women who are 40+, because they know that our skin care needs are different. There's an Asian American woman I recommend who is in her 50s; her name is Michele Wang. Although she's not a makeup artist, she routinely applies classy and simple makeup that is perfect for women in our age bracket. The way she applies her eyeshadow is lovely and I really think it might give you some good ideas, as she probably has similar eye and facial features that you might have. I love the fact that you mix drugstore and luxe products on the regular. I have found products on both ends of the MSRP spectrum that work beautifully for me! Some people have nothing more to do than complain about other people - don’t give them the time of day, please! Nikol, you are an incredibly beautiful woman inside and out and I feel inspired by you. I turned 69 last August and retired. After many years of working and being around people every day, I find myself feeling lost and lonely. Going to take your advice and take time to do things I enjoy such as riding my horse more and sewing my own clothes. Your makeup looks stunning as usual! Hi Connie, Hope this note finds you more at peace than 10 months ago. I truly hope you HAVE been riding more and spending time with your horse! I used to love to ride. But life took many turns and I never got a horse...although now I wonder WHY? I believe it's because I always put other's needs before my own. Yes. I think that's it. And now I'm 77 with heath issues and can't ride. Oh the choices we make! But I also hope you have made some friends...maybe to ride with? ... that break the loneliness. Do you like to read? I find good books make great friends, too. Send me a note if inclined. Maybe I can help you feel less lost. I'm a gramma with time.... Oh! I was quite a seamstress, too. Didn't sew as lot for myself but clothed my girls and made curtains, pillows, duvets, etc. for my home...and Halloween costumes galore! 🎃

I appreciate that much of the tutorials you do feature products that aren't PR so that you can give your audience the benefit of your experience as a makeup artist, and evaluate them truthfully. You've introduced me to a lot of wonderful and affordable products, I'm a drugstore girl, but learning about the high-end products serves me well too when I find myself in a position to splurge. As far as your hyperpigmenation , or other things people like to bring up, lets face it, you are beautiful and that brings out a little of the green eyed monster in people, myself included 😉.

I love love love this video. I am a newer subscriber and someone who never took care of my skin or really paid much attention to makeup. I’m 54 and it really is never too late. I started taking care of myself in a holistic way and skincare and self care (feeling pretty with a little make up on) has become a way to treat myself. Hi Nikol, I have been watching you for a while and I must say that you are absolutely convincing in what you do. I used to watch your competition D.S. from Huston but since she is now drifting into weird cooking recipies and into cheap clothing hauls and sentimental home stories I stay away from that. You have so much style with your curated wardrobe of gordeous vintage pieces. I live in Germany and France and I am in awe! I will be 60 soon and I would love to model for fierce aging. I would love if you made an updated video on how to find your skin color and skin tone, cool/warm, so that you can buy the right color 🙏🏼 I either end up looking like a pumpkin or completely pale. 😝 And warm brown eyeshadow makes me look like I got a blue eye (have green eyes, lots of freckles and dark brown hair). I adore your channel!! I've learned so much from you. I also have learned that I can step out a bit and try new techniques and products. I'm 70 years, have been a registered nurse all my life and now am a goat farmer! 😂 I live in rural Washington and don't fuss much with makeup etc but love placing some just for a trip into town. I enjoy all your videos. I used to watch years ago but not too often as I was on a budget but glad to see that you are doing drug store brands and other brands that are not designer brands. Thank you. Your hair colour is incredible. I have been letting my hair go grey and hope that once it's all grown out I like the colour. I just saw that you have a video on hair volume!!

I usually like a more spendy foundation cause I am older and figured I had to have a "better"product, but I tried the Cover Girl Clean Milk foundation on your recommendation and really like it! It is a "like skin" look and feeling, not like paint, doesn't emphasize lines, very moisturizing and breathable, feels like nothing on my skin. Thanks for the recommendation!
