Its a lovely lens. I bought it many years ago in Seattle. It has fine image quality, nice zoom range, good macro capabilities and is very compact and easy to carry.

Just picked this lens up and will try it on my D700 too.

Thanks for the interesting video. I recently bought the same lens I saw for sale in my local Gumtree. I paid the price of a family of four meal at Mcdonalds, so it was a real bargain. The lens I have is in perfect condition. Today I used it at a small walkabout at a friends farm, I find that you are more focused on using the lens, more focused on making every photo count! I just wish my artistic level was as good as yours, I loved your photo slide. All the best.

How does this compare to the ais 35-70mm lens?

All alone, outdoors and yet you wear a mask. This lens by far has the worst flare of any lens I have ever owned. Sad because it is so very nice looking.
