Knowing how inconsistent Nikkors can be I was a bit dubious, but I'd say it is still quite useable

Seems like a decent but unexceptional lens. The kind of thing I would have once considered a win for my m43 bodies a few years ago when I only had budget for cheap legacy glass - I eventually picked up a truly terrible no-name Canon FD mount 35-70 f4.5-5.6 or so with a 'macro' mode. In practice all-manual operation and poor IQ weren't worth the hassle and I was better off saving for native glass.

It's all about character, man! Jokes aside, yeah, at the end of the day modern lenses are more reliable, consistent and overall better image quality.
