Nilah is great. I love her interactions with Janna, and how she really does feel like a great captain to be under. (Monkey man is my favorite crew member)

To me Nilah and Qiyana are sides of the coin of pride. One is confident while the other is arrogant. Nilah is facing monsters left and right around the continent while Qiyana is overbearing that is only a big fish inside a well

Samira being cocky is kinda why im not a fan of her. If she was a no-nonsence, sassy, tough, badass mama bear with a foulmouth then id love her instead shes some adrenaline juckie narcissit which isnt my speed. The narcicist not the adreneline juckie.

I really enjoy Nilah's inclusion in this whole narrative. People seem to get really fixated on the power scaling, but I just think the premise of Nilah fighting Volibear is rad a hell. Love me some David vs Goliath parallels.

I assume after volibear shes going after karthus since vex would rather be left alone and be moppy. The reason i say this due to the rotated champion linking to him: Elise: a fellow noxian from the shadow isles Kindred: he was a tally man for the kindred in noxus Thresh/Hecarim: embrace the horrors of the black mist and works or worked for viego.

From anyone wondering why Karthus its because Viego is banished, Thresh is now unbounded to shadow isle, and heca is wandering as always. Would be funny though if he ended up fighting yorick with vex on his shoulder because they both sulky. If it happens i wish nilah has a interaction on the holy water tied around yoricks neck

Is Nilah's crew Indian? An elephant, a priest-looking old man, a monke, and a Wukong-like dude. They're Indian!!

Nilah, for me, feels like wasted potential. She doesn't feel like someone who only has one emotion all the time because of a bargain with one of the ten great demons. Her suffering is only vaguely hinted at, and her deal isn't put into question much. Swain is done way better.

No "hands" as they show in teaser picture and trailer video in gameplay, not much demon interactions, not much dialogue that hints she can't think negatively because of demon, clearly wasted potential

@@kabalan20 most champions released lately have all been shoved into already established storylines and taken the spotlight of characters with already established dynamics, all the while being treated as the main protagonists of said storyline. Most notable have been Akshan, Gwen and Nilah.

Yeah it really sucks , I wouldn't mind if they are actually interesting characters and have actual personalities that goes well with the that stories but so far this was never the case

@@omgodificationWhat you said is untrue. Runeterra is a "world", you act like it only has one storyline. Nilah and Akshan have the protag personality, but never take ANY spotlight from already exists champion. Yeah, you can try to point at Ruination event, but sorry, the protag of that event IS Lucian and Senna. If not then what about Nilah? This is her OWN storyline, the fk about "taking the spotlight"?

If you look at my comment more closely, you may notice how I specifically mentioned "storylines", which means, usually, "many", not "one". On that same subject, however, Runeterra can be divided into one "general narrative" and mutiple "subnarratives", which is where this "many" storylines come into play. As you mentioned, the Shadow Isles storyline has Senna and Lucian as protagonists, but also includes various other characters which are protagonists of their own storylines, such as Yorick and Karthus. They are, for all intents and purposes, supporting characters to the main Shadow Isles storyline, but hold different grades of importance. Karthus is much less important than Yorick, as an example. The problem is that these new champions have been shoved into stories that already had an established cast and functional dynamic in a very cheap and incompetent way. It boils down to "and then, there was this guy all along". Not all of them suffer of this to the same degree. Gwen, for example, is much more believable than someone like Akshan, who conveniently was never ever mentioned before (obviously, because he's a recent release) only to show up at the last second and essentially go "yeah, its me, the answer to all your problems. Now here when its most convenient". It leads to the breaking of the suspension of disbelief, taking people out of the story and realizing the plotholes that come with the new arrival. Stuff like "If this guy was always here, how come he was never mentioned?" Its an example of mediocre storytelling, and a big reason of why many of these characters, probably starting with Seraphine, are so looked down upon by the community in spite of their gameplay. One must be careful of such mistakes when crafting a narrative, otherwise the audience will feel cheated. Especially when you have "multiple" storylines, "many" of which have been already established and functional without the need of subsequent additions. Ultimately, the only reason why these characters are introduced this way can be stripped down to "just because", as there is no set up or real indication to their existence before their reveal. This can only be done so when setting up the story, not after a general and "many" derived narratives have already been established for years. And its not just out of hate for new champions. Even Vex, one of the most beloved recent releases and a favorite of mine, is guilty of this as well. An example of this being done right is K'Sante, whose personal narrative is very low stake and self contained yet still pretty much part of the overall general narrative AND Shurima's narrative without interfering with the notions set up beforehand. Lastly, as for Nilah, she is similar to K'sante in the fact that her own narrative could be considered mostly self contained, were it not for the fact that it directly ties with the Great Demons narrative and Fiddlesticks's storyline, as well as being loosely connected to the Bilgewater narrative and Celestial storyline. Two of which have been shrouded in mystery and being set up for a long while and are highly anticipated. Now, there is nothing wrong with this objectively, until you start to realize the fact that it directly challenges many of the previously established dynamics and fills a power vacuum that was never there in the first place. She is being set up as a possible contester for beings in a much higher category such as Fiddlesticks, Mordekaiser and Volibear with the only explanation being "oh she made a deal with one of the ten great demons but you didn't see it lol." One could argue this is true for Swain as well, but in his case, its explicitly stated many times how, despite his power, he is still very much playing with forces beyond his control, and not putting him above or on equal grounds with characters who have been established as superior from the get-go. In conclusion, Runeterra has "many" storylines and a "general" storyline, of which many of the new releases have begun to mess with due to being treated as more important characters than the already established cast beforehand. I hope that answers everything.
