I've not done a marathon but done several half's and it's brutal hard. Everything hurts, physical mental...adding the balance with the beam is just added intensity! Kudos Nile!!!!!

I was laughing because I was expecting this comment to go, "I've not done a marathon... but I've walked to my fridge about 2,200 times which is roughly the same thing"

@@Egregious_ I mean I've walked around my house roughly the length of a marathon in the past 25 years I'm sure... a tad bit slower than his 12 hour marathon time sure but hey I've done it! 🤣🤣

As someone that has run a marathon (and trained for it so a few 20+ mile runs). This is mental. Not only the ambitious and endurance just to make it 26.2 miles but to walk ina circle for that long... 🤯🤯

Seeing how calm you were through all of this, especially the physical pain you were experiencing is just inspiring. I wonder how you would take on an actual special forces training, seeing as how mentally in control you are. I've never done it myself, but I've seen so many videos of different athletes not being able to do it. Obviously it's not exactly the same, but seeing you in this video, makes one wonder how far you can actually go. And I think you would actually do it pretty damn well, if I'm being honest. Well done Nile! :)

I am shocked and speechless. The drive it must take to walk a marathon on balance beams for no other purpose than to make a KZfaq video (and prove to everyone that you can) is insane.

Even though that was a crazy idea, I think it was extremely inspiring and really proved that anything is possible if you put your mind and soul into it. I have a lot of respect for what you do Nile (and the boys also), but you just showed incredible mental and physical strength to be able to push through the pain and exhaustion. That was quite admirable Nile, and you should definitely be proud of yourself. Lots of love to you and the whole squad ❤️

In my training walks/hikes (2018), my apple watch didn't work unless tethered to my phone, which would die in the middle of the woods stranding me without GPS. So I got a garmin Fenix 5 so I wouldn't end up in the middle of nowhere in Wales without GPS. I loaded the whole route into the watch which was also helpful keeping me on the trail where it tended to "disappear". Entire Offa's Dyke Path, entire Cotswolds way plus Stonehenge, Stratford-on-Avon and London later, I had a GPS record of everywhere I'd walked, pace, calories, etc. Over 300 miles with a 25+ lb pack in 21 days.

FWIW, I never doubted you for a second, Nile. I didn’t know if you could get it done in 12 hours, but I knew you’d go however it took. I feel like Apple Watches really only count steps well when you’re actively swinging your arms back and forth. Plus, J’s watch was probably set to her stride length, which would be shorter than yours on a normal day, much less when you’re walking with such determination and purpose. VERY well done, mate, and I hope your feet & body have healed quickly. 💕

I had a discectomy yesterday of my L5 S1 and I have been struggling today. Struggling to move, to get comfortable, to do the tiniest things. This video was actually really inspiring because one of my goals is to run another half marathon. Thanks to you and your crew for being amazing.

Congratulations Nile!!!! I was glued to this video willing you on. I believed that you would complete this & felt the only thing that would stop you would have been a serious enough injury that would have physically prevented you from getting back on the beam, which I hoped & I was very happy to see that this did not occur. A marathon is not just physical but a mental endurance exercise to complete. Adding in being up high on a narrow beam just increased that & increase the discipline level. Nile, congratulations to not just completing physically but mentally. You are a huge inspiration to everyone. I look forward to cheering you on when you are on Dancing on Ice 2023. 🎉🥇👏🥇🥳🥇🍾🥇🎊🥇🍾🥇🥳🥇👏🥇🎉 🥇👏🥇🥳🥇🍾🥇🎊🥇🍾🥇🥳🥇👏🥇🎉 🥇👏🥇🥳🥇🍾🥇🎊🥇🍾🥇🥳🥇👏🥇🎉🥇👏🥇🥳🏅🏅👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Indoor tracking any sort of distance activity, especially with an Apple Watch which is never as accurate as you’d think, sucks. I hate that you had to do so much work in the middle just to know where you were. Good job on sticking to it man, the mental exhaustion is sometimes even worse than the physical discomfort.
