Tbh what i find funny about nilou and kokomi being so good together was that they are both hydro 5 stars proceded by an electro 5 star who everyone was more hyped for, from a .2 patch with a quirky passive that turns people off.

It's a matter of time we get a shielder/healer with Kokomi tier applications for dendro, then,I guess Nilou can truly bloom to her strongest form,the same way Koko did

Nice to know that she's basically performs how most Nilou wanters expected, good AOE due to pseudo-quadratic scaling with around 30k blooms(bis) but lacking in single target

Genshin has entered this pattern where the new released character is designed to work great with future characters in mind. And I think it was started since Kokomi release. some older unit still stay on top because they already strong. And some can climb up thanks to newer character. And unlike most gacha game that powercreep their older unit which is great planning there..

Nilou seems like a really fun driver for Bloom comps, and she has really great idea. I just wish her power wasn’t just restrictive to only have dendro and hydro teams. She’s kinda locked out of being universal for being so restricted,maybe it she be better if she was made to focus bloom based reactions like hyper or burn but that’s just me.

Nilou's potential is probably going to go way up in about three weeks.

She's one of those character that will be decent for the time being. But as new patches and characters gets introduced she will slowly unlock her potential and at one point she will become meta.

I actually like that they're releasing characters that force players to go outside the Benny/Kazuha comfort zone. Whaled for her and her sword but got the Jade Cutter instead, no regrets.

And i kinda realize, it really a mistake giving her CRIT circlet, Hydro Goblet, and Crit Sword. Who is here building CRIT artifacts for Nilou long day ago besides me ? :V

Yes she absolutely melts everything in abyss, but I'm just a bit peeved at how inflexible her team comp is. It forced me to scrap together whatever I had and build two characters that I don't enjoy playing (barbara and collei).

I like the explosions! (why I keep trying for Klee) Always nice to see a buff to explosion types. I've averaged every other banner as free to play, I had to pull Albedo first. So wish me luck on my rolls to pull both.

She's amazing, for me personally. I didn't get her weapon, got jade cutter instead, I don't mind, since my Ayato need it too. While her playstyle are very restricted, I find that it's very appealing. Hopefully i can get Nahida next for my Nilou, if not just wait for Nahida rerun. Who knows maybe Al-Haitam might bring something new.

Restrictive team comps like this are the biggest drawback for me. You can't use shields at all. Just have to rely on healing

I have a feeling Hoyoverse will provide new artefacts specified for bloom reaction or even also another for those dendro x electro reaction. Just like how they were trying hard promoting Albedo and other geodudes.

Everything I've experience in this comp has been put into perspective so clearly now. I was running nilou, nahida, dendro traveler and Barbara. But I don't know what was happening all this while. Mainly becuz everything was green and exploding. Now I know. Thanks so much for the video.

Been enjoying the sacrificial series on DMC and Collie the best so atm I do think for her team comp to work these are the best weapons to sprout the most blooms with.

One thing i noticed about the archons except venti ( i think cause it was the early stages of the game development ) they all have high synergy with the characters of their respective regions

I wanted Nilou at first, because my only hydro damage dealer is Mona (triple crowned btw), so i thought that i could replace Mona finally (because her sprint ruins my rotations sometimes), but then i decided not to. For now i think Mona is fine, after building her and making her crit more often, i don't think i'll need another hydro dps in a while. I don't really have dendro characters build up either, so pulling for Nilou isn't good decision rn. Next reason is her banner. It pretty much the waste of primos, because i have all three 4* characters there c6 already. One more reason is Keqing. I know i know, but lately i've been farming friendship exp for Collei, so i put Keqing and Kazuha as supports for her so she won't die during battles. And Keqing is so great with dendro, it's amazing. But i don't find Collei a good team member, so i decided to go for Nahida. After looking at some leaks, i think Nahida would be much more useful to me rn than Nilou. I'll pull for Nilou on her rerun, or maybe there would be some other good hydro dps in the future, who knows. I still need to get that first constellation for my Yelan. Anyway, i really find Nilou to be a good character, she's beautiful (and reminds me of Vanille from ff13) and elegant, but i don't think that she's suitable for me rn. Maybe next time. Everyone who's pulling for Nilou or Albedo - good luck guys! I hope you'll get them!

I was thinking about some kind of 1 Dendro Traveller + 3 Hydro units, one being Candace. She gives Hydro infusion to Dendro Taveller, which allows them to just cause Bloom reactions either way. Barbara/Kokomi would then take the Deepwood set to shred Dendro resistance since you can still build them full HP/healing bonus since you get the effect just by using an elemental skill. Not the best team I am sure, but hey, it allows you to get full counter Candace all the time since you get damaged by the cores and use DMC on-field. Maybe to increase their Dendro application, you can even use SacSword.

I farmed Tenacity, HoD and Gilded Dreams (4pc) I pretend to use her with Collei, Shinobu and Kokomi For her weapon I have favonius R5 so I don't know if I will use that one, also Kazuha has iron sting R5. I will pull on her weapon banner as soon as I get her (need to win the 50/50) so yeah Maybe the new 4 star weapon is my best option

Even at the moment with her restrictions she’s still a decent good unit. I think compared to Cyno in terms of damage she does damage a lot easier. Glad I held on pulling for Cyno and listened to the leakers when they said she was a good unit despite being niche. Gonna roll for her once I get home from work and pair her with Nahida.

it looks so weird seeing a minimally-dressed character with such fluid dance movements swinging around a sword. in comparison, Jean has a beach outfit, but her movements are quite stiff, so a different impression was made edit: typo

i find the bloom team combo really fun! its chaotic, but the way the enemies die so fast cuz of the bloom dmg is amazing :D i will try her with other teams too, but ye shes a really fun character!;)

I have a feeling her banner coming BEFORE Nahida is a trap, in the sense that, considering how Nahida was expected and her burst create an enormous dendro area, people will get her regardless, but feels like they will complement each other almost like no other, so missing Nilou will make lots of people regret if they got Nahida.

Like Cyno, needs a dendro applicator and their supports.

The first character I wanted so bad the second I saw her that actually isnt hated on with the meta 😍 (Kokomi, Yae Miko)

For now my HyperBloom team (Kuki lv80, Traveler lv90, Kokomi lv90, Sucrose lv80) doing so well in Abyss (less than 1 minutes in each chamber of floor 12). Watching how good Nilou is, I'm tempted to pull her. But, I'm to lazy to level up Colei since I don't like her. I hope Nahida and Alhaitam will be powerful.

My assumption is that Beizhou being a dendro healer will be what makes Nilou enter the op reaction game. It makes no sense that he won't be an off field healer, and he'll likely apply lots of dendro which will negate the concern of hp and switching too much during burst dps windows. But currently i see no reason to pull for her.. :/ She's just really not that great overall.

I was really lucky that Nilou came home early. She appeared on my 32nd pull. Now I will try to pull her weapon. Though not sure if Mihoyo would bless me again.

So I guess I hit it pretty good in my pre release analysis with all her scalings and her playstyle 👌

Funny enough that I have experimented with Childe international but swap xiangling with dendro mc and I must say, bountiful cores are just burgeon with steroids but the team is just more manageable, kinda sad that I don't have any reasons to pull nilou for this what I found out but gonna pull her in her rerun next time.

I always look at Second Opinion. Now playing her in the Trial. I want her, but I have to wait for her another time because I do have her team now. But Nahida is expected to come out soon so she needs the help she gets.

What they say is Nilou is niche but Ayake Freeze is also niche and how long has that shit been strong for lol.

Def looks like a good pickup second time around towards the end of Sumeru. Right now though with characters like Nahida, Scaramouche and Altheheim in the works I can’t justify precious primos on her

Appreciate all the info. I was already thinking of waiting for her rerun when we would have Nahida and other characters wo work with her kit better. Especially since, as I suspect is the case with most players who have been around for awhile, I already have her accompanying 4 stars at C6. I have a rule where I only pull on a banner if I want 2 or more of the rate-up characters, because otherwise I'm depending on a random chance of getting someone else who I don't have at full con -- and we all know how much RNGesus hates _Genshin_ players. Of course, there's no guarantee Nilou's reruns won't also have C6'd 4-stars on it, but I feel like it'll have a greater chance of having newer characters because it'll come back later on. Currently when I need a Hydro DPS in a team I will use Ayato or Yelan, or both. I think they both are capable enough of doing good damage that, at least for now, I won't miss not having Nilou despite how adorable she is. And of course, I also have Kokomi for heals. Barbara, unfortunately, was never really a necessary part of my team comps, except for when I wanted out-of-combat healing. This is because I always used Bennett and Noelle to heal in combat. Barbara is a good F2P healer, at least for the early game, but I don't think she serves for very long, especially since her Hydro application also makes your active character a target for elemental reactions without further benefits. Even with Ocean-Hued to boost her heals, Kokomi's just better. Between Kokomi, Mobius's summer outfit, and HoH Elysia (as well quite a few locations in both games), it's clear Hoyo has a fondness for the feeshies. And given some of the creators I follow, I cannot disagree. Womp womp! I do wonder... since banners with Barbara tend to be less popular, was Hoyo hoping Xiangling and Beidou would help drive its sales? Nilou is a skip for me, but only until I can build her a better team. She looks great for Bloom teams.
