Donkey Kong 64 on the Nintendo 64 was one of my favorite games growing up, I’ve been hoping to get a remaster of that for YEARS.

Did you know that DK64 started out as a 2.5D platformer called donkey Kong Country 4? They worked on it for a whole 18 months before they decided to scrap it & make it the 3D game we know today. No footage, screenshots or really even info has been made public unfortunately though 😔

Donkey Kong Definitely deserves a New Game. After Tropical Freeze, he hasnt gotten a new game ever since. I'm hoping Nintendo mskes a new game For Donkey Kong, expecially due to him getting his own area in Super Nintendo World!

I would love to have a new Donkey Kong game. I enjoyed playing Tropical Freeze when it came out, I grew up playing the DK Country games on the SNES. Fun Fact: In terms of home console of DK title games we never had a DK game that featured all the main Kongs in 1 game. The Closest game to feature most was Donkey Kong Country 3 remake 2005 GBoy Advanced, which featured 12 Kongs in total minus DKJR himself. I would love to see classic Kongs make an epic return for an updated appearance.

I'm sure you know who David Wise is, since he was responsible for most of the soundtracks for Donkey Kong Country especially the new one Tropical Freeze. This time I'm sure David Wise will have his Japanese musicians with him along with Kenji Yamamoto which he did Donkey Kong Country Returns and also responsible who did Metroid especially Super Metroid as Hirokazu Tanaka did the original Metroid soundtrack, plus Koji Kondo who do soundtracks for mostly Mario.

I'm hoping for an HUGE 3D open-world DK Game to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Donkey Kong Country series!! It should have all the World from every mainline DKC Game, (DKC, DKC2, DKC3, DKCR/DKCR3D, DKCTF)!! I would also love to see DK64 come to Nintendo Switch Online!!

I’m right there with you! I’m ready for Nintendo to go balls to the wall and give us that big 3D DK experience! DK Country is celebrating 30 years in 2024, so imo, as much as I dig Mario, we should really let DK have the spotlight next year! plus I’m also chomping at the bit to see DK 64 get put on NSO, I keep asking myself what’s holding Nintendo up lol!

DK Nuts and Bolts would be great. Mix kart racing with Overwatch payload missions, where a handful of rickety hill sleds have to be maintained and pushed forward by a team of customizeble character Kongs like a massive version of Mario KArt Double Dash. That's actually something that is only now feasible since it would probably take something like 6 teams of 4 on online multiplayer, and Nintendo would never have done it or decently pulled it off.

Here me out: "Donkey Kong Country", "DKC2: Diddy's Kong Quest", and "DKC3: Dixie Kong's Triple Trouble" remade in "DKC Returns"/"DKC: Tropical Freeze" style... in ONE COLLECTION. Kinda like "Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy" or "Spyro: Reignited Trilogy".

Who cares though? I have most of those games and have had and played all of them. The Sonic Mega Collection is neat on GameCube but it's only increasing the audience if people are so lukewarm on it that they wouldn't get any of those games separately.

Yes it's coming and being that the dkc series will be 30 next year omg wow , hopefully it will have the feel of the snes game and a new experience as well. Dkc 1 and 2 are my favorites . One thing about Nintendo they know what we like and how to surprise us .

I agree with you I want to have a game like Donkey Kong 64, I loved the 3d world and the powers and guns you could unlock, I also liked some of the new Characters they added in that one, was tired of seeing only Donkey Kong, different versions of King Kruel, Diddy, Cranky, Funky and Dixy Kong. My fav. I think was Lanky Kong or Chunky Kong.

DK Land at Super Nintendo World looks awesome! Really happy they’re giving my favourite Nintendo IP some love! But seriously, we are long overdue for a new Donkey Kong game. At this point, I’ll be thrilled if we get a port of DKC Returns on Switch. Well, I guess a full-on remake of the OG Country games or DK64 would be sick too. As for a brand spanking new game, I personally don’t care if it’s 2D or 3D, I just want more Donkey Kong! Fingers crossed we get something soon!

They need to make one with similar mechanics to Tropical freeze. The catch: introdue new Kongs and a new thematic element. Have K. Rool play another character. Emperor K.Roolius, Presidente' K. Roolstro, something like that.

Since some of us know that the Tiki Tak tribe are gonna be a part of the Donkey Kong world, (even Lord Fredrick from Tropical Freeze is more interesting) I really hope that doesn’t automatically mean that K. Rool won’t be appearing at the park or in the movie just because they haven’t used K. Rool in a DK game for a long time, I would hate it if that ends up happening, currently the only glimmer of hope for K. Rool is the fact that he’s had a bit of a surge in popularity thanks to Smash Ultimate and if Nintendo acknowledges K. Rool as one of the most iconic Nintendo villains and they wanna show respect to his legacy as a result.

Here's my idea: Donkey Kong Country: Revenge of King K. Rool It will involve King K. Rool returning to DK Isle and wreaking havoc with his Kremling Krew. And it will be revealed that the events of Returns and Tropical Freeze were actually masterminded by the crocodile king himself, and the Tiki Tak Tribe and the Snowmads are allies of the Kremlings.

All I know is while watching a Direct, an I hear "Now Please Take A Look At This", then a banana, Dk logo, or his theme song plays, I will lose my mind! I rather an open world, sandbox, then like a mario 3D world, last is another side scroller. If they make "3" game, I guarantee Dixie or Chunky will be in it. only cuz dkc 3 dixies double trouble.

I haven't bought the Switch because they didn’t put a new Donkey Kong game in. If they did, I would have gotten the switch. At this point, 2D or 3D, I don't care, I want a new Donkey Kong game. Donkey Kong is one of my favorite video game franchises at least top 2 for me.

Just because we don't think Tropical Freeze on Switch shouldn't count (even though it really should't) doesn't necessarily mean that that's how Nintendo sees it. For all we know they're probably holding off on DK for their next console.
