I could say a lot of things about her..But let´s leave it.. just UNIQUE!! and obviously,crazy nice!! I love her way of being! Great artist,creator,and almost a myth.
Maravillosa,y España escandalizada con ella en el 94,cuando ya llevaba muchos años transgrediendo.Bueno,algunos padecimos lo mismo,entonces y ahora.Anyway!

Actually this is inspired by Grand Master Flash The Message - if you listen carefully you recognize the baseline. The first few seconds of this performance are using the stupid intro to every Stock, Aitken &Waterman song in the 80ies. And she is slightly mocking Madonna in this performance. :-) 1994 was the era of hiphop/rap getting mainstream in Europe thanks to MTV. She did this song back in the 1970 (think 78 or so).

punk died in 1969 1970 ask Siouxsie she was the only one who survived for 20 yrs with her Banshees all that and punk unlike the sex pistols and what have you , Nina was NOT punk and more into Bowie and Iggy where her dressing up is coming from and hair styles sang Ziggy Stardust even ! Punk no way it's just rock with amazing Nina listen to the band very soft even !

Posiblemente fue una actuación para la TV pública...con todas sus cortapisas y sus esquemas...cuando 1979 cayó en mis oidos el African Reagge...era una pasada oir y ver a Nina...No in Spain but just few years after...Rompedora y original.

En España, desde los 70 hasta bien entrados los 2000 se hacía todo en playback porque no tenían capacidad ni equipo para hacer tanto directo, aparte que se ahorraban una pasta en músicos y de todo. Pero eso ya se fue quitando porque el público exigía directos.

I don't remember when it was, maybe mid 80s, saw her twice in Los Angeles. She obviously had an influence on me, she still does. "To thine own self be true". Nina stays the same.

Нина Хаген- это просто полная свобода и полное презрение к рамкам во всём, ко всяким условностям и ограничениям. Причём основанная не на пустом месте. а на потрясающем таланте, голосе и артистизме. Она стебается над всеми- над поп- культурой, над музыкой, , над религией, над лицемерным и тупым обществом. Как и все великие она не раскрыта и не оценена. Это Арлекин. Великий и Злой Арлекин. Обожаю её. Никого рядом даже не вижу. Все эти жалкие Леди Гаги и прочий нынешний сброд- не достойны даже тени Нины Хаген. Браво, Нина!!!

Elle a l'air d'être un peu folle mais franchement j'adore. La tenue est un peu choquante mais c'est du Nina Haggen. La chanson est un peu spéciale mais totalement indémodable. J'aime énormément cette chanson... De l'Opéra, du moderne, du rock... Bravo !

Hola,gracias ante todo y un saludo.No me he pronunciado hasta ahora,pero me llama la atención la innecesaria polémica que se ha suscitado sobre el hecho de que interprete en play-back en esta ocasión.It doesn`t matter if is play back or not.The most important thing is her art and talent.We shouldn`t forget that is a great performer.We all of us know her voice.What is more.. most of the artists sing in play back on tv,even nowadays but especially at that time (90`s).She is just acting.Thanks.x

Hi,thanks for your comment.if u can,read what i wrote above recently about playback.I am grateful to all of you but at the same time impresed.From my point of view there is too many unnecesary opinions about this fact. She was a Goddess from the 70`s too. I don´t mind if is playback or not when someone has charisma.Thanks anyway everybody.x
