Whoever envisioned pairing Nina with this symphony to perform Somewhere Over the Rainbow was a freaking genius. Was it Nina's idea? It certainly introduced her to a broader audience. I have loved her for decades (since late 70's) and seen her perform live twice. She taught me to not fear my voice, to play with it full throttle and she influenced my new wave/punk style in the 80s'. I have every album and know all the words, even German. Beavis and butthead introduced me to this woman. I have to say she is one of a kind and I love that in an artist. I have watched a few of her vids and not all the music I'm that crazy about but the fact that she goes from punk to opera to reggae iand funk influences is intriguing and her style is quite original, not to mention her eyes are breathtaking!

I would LOVE to see her perform live again. My only blessing was in August 1995 in Washington, DC. She is fantastic!
