From Pretty Hate Machine to this. What a journey man. It blows my mind.

I read that NIN released a new album and I started playing it through my headphones just as I finished work. While this track was playing I cut through the local shopping center, which was completely barren at 4PM and every store was closed, shutters down, and had signage with different variants of "Closed Indefinately due to COVID-19". It was so incredibly eerie. I'm pretty sure that this experience won't leave me for a while.

I listened to this very song on the way to visit my mom in her final hours where she was in a coma suffering from an anoxic brain injury, I immediately saw the title and it related to exactly how I felt, we held and embraced my mother before she passed, we kissed, and we all held her hands, we were letting go while holding on. I love you momma, July 8th, 1968 - December 17, 2022.

Everyday is not exactly the same. One of days, we get a new NIN album.

I used to fall asleep to the original ghosts everynight back in high school. Its some of my favorite NIN work. I've never clicked on a video so fast in my life...I love Trent and his art.

Yesterday was the funeral of my mother. This is exactly what I feel now. Letting go while holding on.

I see that everyone's here to take comfort from this masterpiece, just breathe, amidst the mayhem and pandemonium against an invisible foe. I know I'll never meet any of you but I hope you make it... You, your family, your friends, and everyone in between. Take care of yourselves and one another... There's always light at the end of every tunnel.

New NIN material might just be the thing we all need to get through these difficult times. Thank you, Trent & Atticus

Wow. I am just amazed at how this was just given to us during this time of uncertainty and need. I thought releasing the Slip for free was awesome and groundbreaking but...for Trent and Atticus to knock this out while the rest of us where fighting over toilet paper, worried for our children, hoping that the grocery stores would stay open, electricity stays on and people don’t start looting...it just makes me feel really validated as a shameless NIN fanboy. Thank you Atticus and Trent for being you, regardless of what anyone else thinks and the world’s current state. The way out is through.

Never would’ve thought that NIN would’ve ever released another Ghosts installment, let alone another two, but now that they’re here, I’m glad. Listening to this is like waking up on Christmas Day and getting the toy you’ve been wanting.

This hauntingly beautiful tune is exactly the same feeling when i was left home alone, after my mom passed away when i was 20. I was came back home from busy days and there was only silence and darkness. I still can see the stuff my mom used to use when she cook for me. And her memos on freezer. Then i just laid down on the floor and stared at ceiling for hours. Destruction of the most familiar someone, life was there.

Kinda reminds me of, "A warm place." But warmer.

I have some good memories of playing animal crossing new leaf while listening to ghosts I-IV when I was 14. Now, I can relive those memories with ghosts V-VI and Animal Crossing New Horizons

You ever get the feeling that everything is going to be okay? Well, this helps

NIN albums throughout the years, though some full of angst and despair.. seem to all have some kind of underlining of hope. And hope is the beauty that keeps us all going. Though screaming helps too:)

Thank you, Trent. I've said to more than one person in the past 3 weeks "What this situation could really use is some new Nails". Now if we could just get you, Rage, TOOL and Faith No More on the same bill before the end of the year...

Today's my birthday and my life has been shit recently. I think this was the gift that I needed for the ripe age of 32. Thanks a lot Trent, hope you're doing well man.

Well this is exactly what I needed today. I loved Ghosts I-IV, and this sounds like a perfect evolution of that. A revisiting of the style without being a reconjuring of the same ideas.

Just what the world needed... And this NEEDS to be a movie soundtrack

Last week, my cat died in from of me. I was literally holding him while i letting go. It was a strong experience from me. Thank You Trent for creating this music, your really know how to represent some aspects of what is to live.

What a perfect way to open an album that perfectly represents the anxiety, depression and dread that we all felt during the horrors of 2020. A phenomenal piece of music and my favourite piece from the year.

Trent is my favorite musician ever and I'm pretty sure I have just about everything he's released but the instrumental stuff (Ghosts 1-6 and the several soundtracks he's done) are by far my favorite.

Thanks! New music from my favorite band couldn't come at a more necessary time. I've been listening to my entire NIN library recently as it feels current. This is a welcome addition. NIN music has always gotten me through the rough patches and makes me feel better.

Ended up in a rural high school 95, 15yo..Usual groups...cheerleaders, cowboys, jocks, loners. Bought the downward spiral on its release date..Downtown SLC across from temple square at the CD store. Never in my life felt so dirty and clean all at the same time. A year before I had to choose a portrait to sketch for art class. Sketched Trent’s Rolling Stone portrait, wish I held on to it so I could share now. To this day the music has been a part a me, its inside of me..Hey, thank you for giving all that you have, you too Atticus.

The development of NIN is like watching a sad and angry person growing into a more hopeful one, in a good way.

I had to say goodbye to someone very special yesterday. My grandma was as much a parent to me as my own mother. I can't describe the pain, and the process of letting her move on has been almost more than I can take. Her funeral was yesterday. This morning when I woke up, this was the first song to appear on youtube. Trent. Atticus. You've helped a stranger go through something he didn't think he could. Thank you.
