Coachella was the first event where aespa performed live. Before this they always do lip sync and people criticized them when they were announced in coachella lineup. The Coachella stage wasn't the first stage they sang live, because during 'Forever' promotions they also performed live, if I'm not mistaken it was for Arabic TV? I forgot, basically at that time they had to wear more closed clothes, but they were still filming in Korea. The Coachella stage is the first stage where they have to perform in front of audience. I agree, I'm not a fan of aespa but they did so well considering their Covid release and the band is only 1-2 years old, I don't understand why LS fans are bringing up the issue of the band's age. Because AESPA then and LS now have the same age group, AESPA is doing very well. Their singing voices set the stage on fire. They are very talented. I admire them from my heart. Again, I'm not an AESPA fan, I'm a BP fan.

Why are mys repeating the same thing? They were badly critized by kpop fans back then cuz of lack of stage presence and boring performance but now they are do the same thing to le sserafim. But... Is this obviously, no?.. Hybe's groups have lack and weak vocal (except Seventeen), SM groups always was the best in vocal. Right now SM groups is not so good and not leaders in vocal, but better than Hybe's still. Le Sserafim on the last place about vocal in 4th gen gg. Aespa on the 3th plase (after Nmixx and StayC) and Ningning personally is #3 girls vocalist of gen after Lily and Haewon.

there's more to idols than just vocals. it's so funny cs it's so clear a lot of u are js jumping into the hate bandwagon for le sserafim. if anything, the only thing they lacked was vocals (which they did okay with but people were only showing the WORST parts of it), but stage presence and dancing wise they were so good. aespa had vocals and dance but they didn't have stage presence. blackpink had great stage presence and vocals but the one thing they lacked was choreo (even though i like it simple but compared to other groups, their choreos are easier).

Aespa clearly had the vocals and dancing down to slay at Coachella. The problem was their set and choreo didn’t fit the Coachella vibe + it was their first time fully live singing in front of a real audience + SM hyped it as it was going to be as big as BP’s Coachella but they performed at a small stage + they didn’t have hype in the US. Now that they have more stage experience, more popular in the US and their sp has improved a lot, they can easily slay with adjusted choreography. Also remember when ning had to like 7 challenging high notes in the whole set but people called aespa bad at live singing just cause she fcked up that ONE high note? With Lesserafim we got like 3 decent high notes and the sub vocals butchering every song. SM just made a mistake making them go the Coachella that early. They deserve a second chance.
