Frame counted to 11:32.183, this is a really good one! Not much to pick at in the gameplay aside from a missed boost in stage 5-1 and a forward boost in stage 6-2. By all accounts, should have missed the plate kill, missing 2 slashes, but we somehow willed it to happen. We got everything else in the run and I am very proud of this one. Is that one hit kill on the final boss phase 1 an exploit?

It's that subweapon, what the instruction booklet calls the jump and slash technique, more commonly referred to as spin slash. It deals 1 damage per frame, so it really melts the bosses! Unfortunately not found in Act 3, and stripped from the player directly after killing the 1st of the last 3 bosses.

Yeah Jerkio definitely lives up to that name. The short answer is practice. A slightly longer answer is I mimicked way smarter people who figured that kill out and I made it my own. I made a pretty ridiculously in depth tutorial on all the kills I could work out easiest to hardest on this boss. That would be amazing! I certainly wouldn't turn it down 😅 . Feels like if he was going to revisit a previous video, there might be a more deserving game, like perhaps Castlevania 1. That game has insano tech now and the times are so much lower compared to when that video was released. With the spin slash sub weapon (that's the blue swirly one). It does 1 damage per frame, bosses can't handle it, so we use it against every boss that the game lets us. A bit more info: It actually takes 2 passes of spin slash to take down the first 2 bosses, so you can either spin in front of them and land behind them, or pre jump and land in front of them, then jump straight up, which is slightly faster. There is no spin slash in act 3. After you beat the first boss in act 6, the game strips you of any sub weapon, preventing us from using spin slash against the final 2 bosses. I dont know why you guys use turbo cheats in speed runs and pretend as if you didn't cheat. I would like to see these runs in a natural state. No turbo no software just regular play as you would when it first came out.

No turbo here, and it's actually pretty obvious that there isn't. Turbo wouldn't even help you in this game. To sword cancel fast like you see in the run, you have to press ⬇️ + B. It's not like engaging a turbo function for one button. You have to time 2 inputs correctly. It takes practice and a lot of failure. Stop by stream sometime 🤘! I can show you in real time.
