Here's a theory in the blast the time twins got sent back in time to become two members of the forbidden five. Which doesn't make much sense but they could have gotten there powers back it happened before.

Since Wu was able to return, it doesn't seem crazy that they would too.

No, they won’t. “Crystalized” was the final saga. What Lloyd said was that they didn’t know where they were (and there was never a point in which Wu told them). A mere verbal mention is not some calling card for a big return. It’s time for the “Ninjago” fandom to stop making speculations and accept the facts at face value.

It's not that they can't, it's that they won't. And even then, anything with the pre-movie designs was just edited old footage.

Maybe because the element of time had somewhat of an awareness that Wu used it for good and sent him back to the time period where he belonged to reward him. Whereas, Crux and Acronix were permanently frozen in time as the ultimate punishment for abusing the element bestowed upon them for their malevolent intentions.

in an outside perspective they wanted wu's fate to be a mystery because they wanted to focus on Kai and Nya saving Ray and 2. Its very possible that the time twins escaped and hid

Wu was still suffering from the effects of the Reversal blade, so breaking the Iron Doom cancelled out the effects on him, while the Twins were frozen in place.

What if the time twins just woke up a day’s worth of time later in the time stream, and just hopped into some time far in the future, like Dragons Rising or something. That would be cool.

If Garmadon doesn't become a villain due to the Devourer's venom corrupting him, Lloyd doesn't free the serpentine in an attempt to be a villain like his dad. The Serpentine never free the Devourer and as a result the Devourer's venom doesn't give life to the Vermillion or Stone Army, and Harumi's parents don't die. Garmadon never goes looking for the dark island and never awakens the Overlord. Due to the lack of a threat from Garmadon, the ninja are never united and never have a reason to all go to Master Chen's island, meaning five elements would be missing from the Anacondrai Ritual. No imitator Anacondrai means Garmadon wouldn't have to reverse the spell that banished the original Anacondrai to the Cursed Realm, meaning the Cursed Realm is never opened and Morro never escapes. The Cursed Realm is also never destroyed, meaning no destruction of Djinnjago, so Nadakhan never tries to get revenge on the ninja and the people of Ninjago for his home world's destruction. As I've previously mentioned, Harumi's parents don't die. She therefore has no reason to have a vendetta against the ninja or worship Garmadon, so no Season 8 and by extension no season 9. Season 10, however, would still happen. Or at least, the Oni part of it. But if none of these other disasters were to happen, you know what else would be prevented? As I said when explaining Season 4, there'd be no ninja team. No threats means no need for heroes. So, when the Oni finally came along, there'd be no one there to defeat them. Unless, that is, Wu and Garmadon tracked down the ninja and trained them in Spinjitzu, just to defeat the Oni, but in S9 Wu has no idea the Oni are coming and Garmadon only does because of his visions in the Departed Realm, and he never would've been there since he didn't have to sacrifice himself to defeat the imitator Anacondrai. So in other words, Wu grabbing the sword would've almost entirely prevented nine different threats to Ninjago from existing, but it would've paved the way for the tenth to easily destroy it.

@@conflictbrooks fair point except for season 4 all they needed was Lloyd since if we were following that story Lloyd wouldn’t have to give some of his power to the ninja in season 3 which would mean that he would still have the elements of ice, fire, lightning and earth to his deposal.
