I had a hemorrhagic stroke in my brainstem in 2018 and developed Parinaud's syndrome. There was so little known about it in my stroke unit, and I've done a lot of reading. The last 10 minutes of this have taught me more about my symptoms than I've managed to gain through three years' worth my own research. Thank you!

With my eyes closed (sleeping) I see a liquid flow over my eyes, sometimes just 1 eye. Like a gray bowling ball and you pour black paint on it. But I can stop it by extending my lower jaw. There's more but I thought I would start with this, you sound very well educated on this type of experiences. Thank you.

Great presentation Zach(and by extension the entire team)👍👍👍 For clinical practice purposes,I'll like to make the ffg comments: ▪️Weber's syndrome could present with Parkinsonism (sometimes) due to involvement of the substantial nigra. ▪️Nothnagel's syndrome is a midbrain syndrome similar to Claude; The difference being : Ipsilateral OR bilateral oculomotor palsy with Ipsilateral ataxia ▪️Aetiologies of Parinaud syndrome include Encephalitis(e.g secondary to Toxoplasmosis),Obstructive hydrocephalus,Tonic clonic seizures,Tectal tuberculoma,Miller Fisher syndrome etc. ▪️If the lower part of the midbrain is the only part that's affected, though the extraocular muscles would be affected but the pupils would be Spared.
