Well, that's clearly something my middle aged eyes won't allow me to do. I had enough problems doing the battery swap on the New 2DS XL.

I like the upgrade I have two 3dsxl honestly considering this. However I just bought the ally mate from your other video and man it’s been so much fun. Also used it for Wiiu emulation🤫

I love my NEW 3DS XL. Just got a new cover for it, as the colored plastic on the top was peeling off. I might do this hack later, but for now, my 3DS will stay the way it is.

If you can find a deal on one than yes otherwise they still sell for more than they were when released USED which is nuts. The crazy thing is people think they're worth more hacked when really they're not worth more hacked imo. Now modified with this mod definitely worth the extra.

Nice, and I wish there was something else easily accessible. I tried to find this for my New 2DS XL and only found a service that charges $250 to do it for you overseas. Modding/hacking is my jam I just never shared it much until this year to change things up a bit 🤗

Optimize do sells capture kits for the old 3ds (and o3dsXL, n3dsXL), they're about 75USD (without shipping fees, they're shipping from japan) but their kits are insanely hard to install, requires a ton of fine soldering and case cutting.
