Great video! Question though, can you switch the ally screen as the ds bottom screen and your phone screen as the upper screen? Also would a portable screen work for this setup?

Yes you can switch the screen it outputs, the phone on the bottom was obnoxious and heavy. If you follow the channel, you'll know I'm building a true secondary display that connects to your device including the Rog Ally 😁

How can you charge this? If you are connected thry the rog ally only usbc port???? This means you are stuck with like 45 minutes to an hour of play I want a solution that lets me connect to power and still use this dual screen type of setup

You can use an app for your phone/tablet also that works just as well or even better called super display to make it into a extra monitor

Is it faster then Spacedesk? Spacedesk has wireless and wired connectivity that's why I used it over others but this is interesting to hear other programs have this as well. I will be sharing the full guide soon for others to try this even if they don't want to get the adapter.

@@DNAMobileGaming I haven't used Space desk but I do own Super Display and it works pretty well. It works both wireless and wired. I would check videos out to make sure you wanna spend the money but I'm happy with my purchase

This method isn't good, it's cool but I don't recommend it all! Yes it uses Space Desk but your Asus Rog battery will be eaten alive, you should check out the DNA Duo that I designed/developed. igg.me/at/dna-duo/x#/

@Great_tusk the DNA Duo has way more use cases than just emulation but if you want to use your phone then by all means do what makes you happy 😊

Yes so I couldn't find a setting to turn this off either but I had a better idea for this that I may share soon 😜

I'm building something stay tuned because it'll be interesting to see how it works out. What I built will be more logical and doesn't require a third part program like this does or a heavy phone. It also won't require tons of cables etc.

@dianamourag I would just get an Ally Mate unless you have a 3D Printer. You can order their 3D print schematics with the parts required to do it yourself. I wouldn't recommend anything else as this holder is amazing.

It's heavier when at the bottom but at the top it's not so bad. A better idea would be a small Pico 5 inch screen with HDMI to USB C I think 🤔. It worked well with the AyaNeo better because of more ports

It has a universal attachment that sticks to the back of the device I already tested it on my AyaNeo Next Lite and I like it better on their than my Asus not sure why

Currently I have not found a solution for this, it would be amazing if we could OR use the extended screen option like a PC. The first phone I thought of that does this is the LG V60 ThinQ it has a second screen you attached via a built in case.

@fesgamer34 I agree trust me I looked around and even checked to see if someone created an app on GitHub to extend your Android display. Seems we can only mirror it but oddly enough LG has created a way with a custom screen attachment and an app so it has to be possible.

Battery life isn't that bad only game I've found to chew it up is MW3. Mind you it does suck that the phone has to go into charging mode automatically.
