@@polishpatriot7953 Same outdated graphics either way. The battery upgrade doesn’t warrant it being inherently much different. Especially for docked users.

Same here I have the 2019 version I had a head enough time last year getting my switch. And good luck getting the Oled for the list price.

It has the same resolution as the basic switch. It’s actually not worth getting/upgrading.

It's completely down to preference, personally I prefer the bigger screen and I will be selling my switch and getting the new one once its out

@@Greg_176 Well it starts in My second year of college: I had been saving up for about a year for the Switch, but then life happened and that money had to go somewhere else. After that, I spent the next 3 weeks looking and Praying for a system. Then one day, my Grandma tells me that there are a few down at a local Toys R Us and they'll be available that Saturday. Saturday morning rolls around, so my grandma and I go to Toys R Us at like 6 AM which we thought would be Early enough to beat the line... It wasn't. We show up and I am 8th in line when the employee said they only had seven systems as they handed out tickets for the Switch; I was ready to pack it up when this man walks up to me and gave me his ticket AND place in line as he walked away. That day I bought my Switch and have cherished the system ever since. My one regret is that I never learned that man's name, but yeah: that's how I got my Switch, and I call that a Prayer answered. God is Good 😇✝️

​@@trappeddarkhd1707 I mean, $50 isn't that much of a price difference. If you have enough money to buy a standard switch you might as well throw in the extra 50 for the OLED model. That is, assuming you don't already have a Nintendo Switch. And besides, $50 for a bigger screen, ethernet port, double storage, and (possibly) less damaging when it comes to docking the switch. It's just optimal, ya know?

4k upscale would of made it more expensive. They wanted to keep the price low. Maybe in 2 years there will be a 4k model. Costing over $400 plus

i was already sold on the idea of games running better and looking better on a switch and only one of those kinda happened. i mostly play docked because my joy cons drift so this was very disappointing

@@ShiggyMomo they said they will make the switch last twice the time it takes other consoles. So next gen will probably be by 2025-2026. A final switch "pro" edition wouldn't be a bad idea by 2022-2023. Plus they would want the NEW splatoon and BOTW games to last as long as possible if it will be in the same console the last game released on.

@@EvilDickism No, these changes are minors most of them could have been included right from the start. The memory capacity going to 64GB is not extraordinary, the same goes for the lan port

I play mostly in handheld as well, so the biggest consideration is battery life. Either Switch V2 or OLED will do.

I play in handheld and on TV about 50% each so I’m exited for the upgrade! Especially since the white model will fit perfectly next to my brother’s Xbox series s

I was having this problem to as I wanted to get the oled switch as a Christmas gift but after using a demo of a regular switch at target I realized that the screen in the regular switch doesnt look that bad at all it looks fine to me. Keep in mind I've never seem the oled switch in person so I cant compare that to the regular switch. But the regular switch doesn't look that bad.

The only difference is the way the dock looks and the included Ethernet port. You could just buy an Ethernet adapter for your dock for like $15 on amazon. No need for an entire new dock thats going to cost to over $60

Botw has a framerate cap at 30fps, you can use cemu for the best experience tho

Thats my rationale as well. My wife and I each have a switch and we play mostly in hand-held, but these improvements just kinda seem meh. I would much rather had better frame rates

@@TanikaNuva I'm in the same place as you, I still hope since BotW 2 is so far, that Nintendo will announces a better model to come out around the same time. If BotW 2 is to look better and have more that the first game, I'm not looking forward the lags and bleh performances at times (tho I've been really lucky so far and barely ever got issues in BotW, but I'm always lucky on these things and am aware of how different other's experiences have been)

@@Mangaka-ml6xo Yes I have nearly 300 hours on botw and have pretty much never had any problems, but if there is a new console that will run it and it's sequel better I will probably pick it up eventually.

Exactly. I'm not getting a new Nintendo console until it's basically the Nintendo equivalent of a ps5 (fast processor, handheld/docked, better bigger screen, etc.) This is just a slightly better screen, not worth it in the slightest
