I'll save you 5.5 minutes of your life: the switch itself does not have a "BIG Problem" the oled switch is 1mm wider which makes it incompatible with some accessories. *yawn*

A recently released interview with the general manager and deputy general manager of technology development at Nintendo revealed it's actually 3mm wider to accommodate the hinges of the new kickstand.

I just recently learned that he made a grip with Satisfye. I'm so sad 😔 that I missed that opportunity. We can only hope that he makes another one in the future. Kids and adults abousutly love watching his videos. Those are the greatest gift for the holidays and of course sharing it with him personally as well.

Same although I quickly moved on to a skull&co because not having to slip on and off that grip every time I dock and undock it is incredible. However the actual grip on the satisfye is better.

@@AV-bz2zv True. I opened mine. I like it, the graphics are a little more crisp, if that makes sense. The bigger advantage is if you use it as a hand held more than you would plugged in to the TV. The speakers sound better than the original switch and the bigger screen was much needed.

Have you ever thought about doing 3D printing as like a prototype then eventually find the perfect match. I feel like that would put alot of stress down trying to find that dimension. You could do all sorts of designs for like finger bumps or even rubberized grips so when your hands get sweaty you'll still have control. I love your videos ❤️

To save everyone time, the issue is the switch OLED is 1mm wider which means many accessories that wrap around the old switch won't work on the new one.

So I’ve watched your videos for a while, tried several different grips (that broke pretty easily). Watched this video a few weeks back and decided at 1 am to buy my first ever satisfye grip… your limited edition one to be exact! I love that they offer the limited edition one with a case as well and I’m pretty excited. Btw yellow is my happy color and blue is my favorite color which may or may not have had something to do with the decision. Ps can they make a BeatEmUps “limited edition” lite version too? lol

I would never have bought this grip if it weren’t for your collab. I mostly play with a pro controller and mount. Rarely do I buy “KZfaqr” stuff, but this was a no-brainer (and I’ve only been watching for a month)! Not gonna lie, the color scheme is not what I would normally go for (usually a solid black or white for this kind of thing), but I definitely want to support you! Funnily enough, you said yellow and blue because of your logo-my Joy-Con thumb grips are red and my OLED is white, so I would pretty much have all the bases covered! I think it will all come together nicely. You made me want blue and purple Joy-Cons because I saw them on one of your Switch models in a video. Unfortunately, that configuration doesn’t exist anymore unless you buy used (something about the combo of L/R as an individual purchase being available in only one orientation… that won’t match the other). I could buy or make skins but it isn’t the same. 😩 KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING (When your mental health allows. Breaks are absolutely encouraged!).

I have pretty small hands so have never been bothered by using the switch as is and wasn't planning on buying a different grip - but I've seen how much you talked about this grip for ages and the fact that you have an actual limited edition version with their company means I just have to go out and buy it. I used to use the Fixture S1 grip so I could use my procon with my Switch because I like the feel of it better and it was honestly a little devastating to try and slide my OLED into the S1 and realize "no, no no no, it's too big for it????????" I'm already giving my old Red Box Switch to my brother and his fiance since all they have is a launch edition Switch, but I'm also throwing in my S1 because not it's useless and I hate that it's been made useless. Literally my favorite and one of the only third party accessories I would use with my Switch barring the 8bitdo Pro 2

Well, you had me at "we designed this limited edition grip" I haven't bought one yet for my switch, and now, if it's still available in November, I will buy one! I need one for mine so my hands don't hurt, I've had to have surgery on my fingers and wrists a few times, due to a work accident, and it's so hard to game with the joycons on the switch. They made the inside a smooth plastic so it shouldn’t cause any scratching.

Idk if my reply is late but i have the Oled and the dock definitely doesn't scratch anything. There's actually more than enough space at the back and front when you put the switch in that it doesn't even touch the switch itself, unless you're super reckless with it

What he put on the video was just an example on how it would look with the white joycons. The new grip can accommodate both the old and the OLED. For some people they need to see first how it would look in order to be interested in buying. Hence all the examples of different color schemes of joycon with the grip

You can probably make a grip that is the size of the lite but it can extend from the middle to make it fit any switch

@@That_Guy_11 there is a bundle but only with the white grip. I asked customer support if they could swap in the yellow beatemups grip, and they said they could not. Unfortunately… cry. I think the yellow would go great with the blue zelda joycons. But i’d also like the case, which isn’t sold separately.

Honestly the way you did this video was pretty well done. Pointing out an issue with the OLED model (like the video says) is always good cause people need to know this stuff but then you following it up with a solution you created yourself was pretty magnificent and I love the design of the grip. It's even good for the original Switch that's a bit smaller too, so very impressive work. Congrats!

But it's not much of a problem. It's not even a problem. The fact that the oled is bigger isn't much of an issue because it has nothing to do with the system itself not working properly. So it's not an issue with the oled but more of an issue with you just needing new accessories. I will also disagree about the video being properly made and finding a "solution" to a "problem" there was no issue and all he did was advertise a grip that he had a hand in designing.

@@bawkslawd no thank you, I'll stick to the mumba protective cover grip. You can't dock his grip. It doesn't protect anything and the only differences between his grip and the others is his logo and the really bad color scheme. This is besides the point I am trying to make. He baited you guys into thinking there is a legit problem with the switch only to shell out his grip for the switch. There was no problem, as of yet, with the oled switch. He just made one up to sell you his grip and that's not cool.

@@bawkslawd it's like me saying, hey guys the switch has a major problem we need to address. There is no place to store your switch games on it. I partnered with this company to make a case for the switch so you can hold extra games! You should all buy it, it comes with a teal "C" on the front as my design. This will fix the problem. I wanted to come up with a really stupid idea like a pinwheel that attaches to the air vent that spins to let you know when it's on but I wanted to go through a logical approach to make something that is convenient but the switch can work just as well without it. Would a case that holds extra games be convenient? Yes. Will my switch not stop work if I don't have it? No. I, just like Wood, made a big deal out of a made up problem to sell you my product.

I actually just pre ordered it for my Beatemups limited edition grip. I had noticed the color before in the previous video and wanted it. One of my favorite content creators and favorite grips joining together was a definite buy for me. Congrats Wood

Interesting I had no issues with fitting my Satisfye grip! I am using my old Joycons but I still had no issues with my OLED. Js I might still pick up a BeatemUps grip because I love your content. But to say it doesn't fit is kinda cap.

Wood, I don’t ever comment much on KZfaq videos or engage in social media. However, you are one of the most inspirational entertainers I have ever had the pleasure of coming across. Wanted the animal crossing colour but going with yours becuase when I upgrade I'd like to still be able to use it. Bit of something to mention though I'm not sure If it's normal or because I'm canadian but the $50 shipping is nuts on a $77 order. Almost doubling my total.

Good luck with the collab. It’s a great idea to fit both. Personally not a fan of yellow, on anything tech, it looks like a kid’s toy color. If you ever make another color I’d love to see white grips /face framing, even if it had yellow on the backbrace. I love the classy sleekness the white model has.
