I've had mine for about 2 months now and personally speaking I believe for us woman the healing process is longer and I've notice when I'm about to start my period my nipples of course get super sensitive and sore and my piercings will hurt but then the pain goes away. So I'm thinking its cause of normal hormonal levels changing.

I'm so glad I clicked on this video! I got mine done two years ago as well, and I've been so frustrated that they haven't healed 100%. I've suspected my problem was dryness, too, but I had tried using saline soaks intermittently anyway. Definitely laying off the soaks and going to get a jar of tattoo goo now.

ive had the same problem . I use rose salve balm from bath and body works! works amazing for dry skin!

Dude I got my nipples pierced 2 years ago and my left nipple is completely healed but my right nipple still gets CRUST!! I'm super annoyed by it 😑I still have them on cuz my bf loves them.

ugh I have the same problem !!! my right nipple crusts & still releases some stuff, but my left one is perfectly fine ! so that means it's dry ?

Mary I've had mine for like 2 in a half years and mine both still get crustys sometimes. Is this only for dryness or does it help with healing too??

My friend switched hers from a curved barbell to a straight one. She was pierced with a size too small and they started migrating. We sat on my bed for almost a hour with lube trying to get them in. She was in tears. We finally got them in and her's are doing so much better. They are in the right spot now and no longer hurt her. She is having issues with them being dry though. What would you suggest her using?

I’ve had my left one pierced for 6 years. (I had both at one point but the right one fell out and I refused to re-pierce and go through that pain again). Every few months/weeks my left one randomly will start hurting. It still gets crusty. Pain/crust is ongoing unfortunately. In my experience anyway

Mine are about two years old now and had been fine for almost a year and then suddenly my right one got angry and developed an abscess :I I think this is one piercing that is never 100% fine

Will an abscess go away on its own? I'm considering getting my nipples pierced, but I am trying to do a lot of research first.

(Not recommended) I ended up removing the abscess myself with some saline solution, q tips, and a pair of tweezers. Once all the pus was out I flushed out the hole left behind with the saline solution and put a band-aid on it. The next day everything looked just fine, haven't had trouble since.

I’ve had mine for about a year and 4 months, I’ve never changed the piercing. And it still forms bumps and gets crusty on the sides and it looks ugly Is this common? Is this how it’s gonna look forever? I don’t really mind the crusties Kuz they just flake off but the bumps are annoying I guess maybe 2 years will my healing mark? Idk

It could be the metal your jewelry is made of. Some people are allergic to nickel which common jewelry like surgical steel & stainless steel have. Titanium doesn’t have nickel so I reccomend giving it a try.

Do you use soaks with this cause no matter what I use or do mines are still dry and crusted I've only had them for 4 months

Mine didnt hurt but it was dry they recommended emu oil to me good to know :)

You're lucky, my friend pierced his nipple and a year or 2 later it became about 5x bigger than the other one and its never gone back.... Be careful kiddo.

I got mine pierced exactly a week ago and already starting to notice some dryness :( would you recommend using Tattoo Goo with new piercings or should I give it a few more weeks until they're healed more?
