How long have you been sitting there refreshing the screen waiting for me to respond? This is the one of the two times Nirvana played Reading that should have been professionally recorded. Much more energy from the band, Eugene from The Vaselins came on stage to sing along on a cover of their song, and they had a frigging interpret dancer named Tony. Oh, and that moment when Kurt jumpet into the drums is just epic!

Be careful with the things you dream about, or well, your brain may explode, in a figurative sense I mean, well I'm not that hypocrite, I meant it literally also. It was worse for him, 'cos he knew he didn't deserved to be set as idol. Strong people just take one step back, 45 degree turn and keeps going, but sadly not everyone has the many lighting moments required to awake to life.

+ThatTallGuyEli They hated Smells like teen spirit around like '92 because thats all people ever talked about. "omg play smells like teen spirit" or interviews would be based around them becoming popular off one song which is true but it just brought alot of unwanted fame too. This was right around the time Smells like Teen spirit hit the airwaves in the US and they had no idea of the success that was going on. This is definitely one of their last purest moments as a low level band which is beautiful

In my modest opinion, NO ONE has ever reached or surpassed this damn wrecking creative distorted universal sound, that level of immediate “face to face” expression, freestyle approach to dogmatic state of mind. Kurt’s “cryptic” lyrics reveal the soul making it “naked” & so it resonates unwaveringly indomitably strong like a spiritual riffle which leaves you without a breath and words. I’ve been listening to them for years and literally nothing has ever changed in my perception of this unique and very influential band. I can almost recognize their chords, rhythm sections and vocal parts in many alternative bands worldwide. From Seattle to Moldavia. ❤Awesome indeed. And I’m so happy about it. ✨💫

***** What you personally think of the song is immaterial. The fact remains that Smells Like Teen Spirit was a MONSTER hit that elevated Nirvana from just another Seattle grunge band into a global phenomenon. It did so because it was a great and incredibly catchy song. The fact that Nirvana also had many other great songs is irrelevant. SLTS is the one that made them.

When Kurt Cobain stepped into that orgone accumulator on William Burroughs farm he literally became the hero from the novel "On The Road" by Jack Keroauc, the novel that sparked this movement in the first place. Kurt stepping into that orgone machine was the pinnacle, where art became life, the full circle achieved. It represented the movement from the Beat-nick, through to the the hippie, the rocker, the punk, the new-waver, the metal head, the goth, the raver, etc achieving a full revolution and ushering in the new age. Kurt was the pinnacle. The music of the new age will be less rooted in form and more about channelling spirit.
