These angels are amazing, including the interviewer. No doubt why this is my favourite band ever. Because of the human touch they have. I'm a balkan woman and I'm impressed how much Krist is involved in women's issues. Usually it was always Kurt. But all of them are amazing. The more i hear and read about them the more I love them. Ones of the most angelic human beings ever lived on Earth. And I'm still so sad about Kurt's death. I love you guys, to the moon and back!

The reaction by Chris/Krist to the ‘“…there’s some awful things going on down there’ Kurt quote is basically the story in this. And then Kurt’s annoyed look after this because he is sooooooooo fucking off his box and has no idea why what he just said was so off tone-wise. Hiding behind sunglasses indoors is always a good thing.

@@remorcist2499 There's the MMIW and sex trafficking issues going on in Native American communities. Native American women are 10x more likely to be raped and murdered than the national average. Or maybe at this point Krist was just falling all over himself to try and make people, his friend Kurt especially, think he had a positive view of Courtney? You know, since like, around this time it had come out that he and his wife skipped their wedding and just 2 months before this, backed Steve Albini during a shouting match with Courtney at Pachyderm Studios that she needed to leave and that no one around Nirvana liked her? Maybe it makes me a "Kurt Stan," whatever the fuck that means, to think this way but what do you THINK Courtney would say in a conversation with Krist, L7 and others about Bosnian rape victim's, "fuck um, who cares?" This doesn't exactly turn Courtney into a mensch just because she backed the idea of a benefit. That her band played on. Where she sat on stage in full view of everyone during Nirvana's set. Making sure fucking EVERYONE in front of the stage and behind it KNEW that she "called Jennifer Finch and helped put it together." Also that Hole were recording Kurt's, I mean her, new record. 😝 I'd rather be a Kurt Stan than a Courtney Simp.

SUMMARY: "In this interview with Nirvana, they discuss their involvement in a benefit concert to raise awareness and money for the atrocities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The money raised will go directly to the Croatian Women's Group and other women's aid projects. The women's center in Zagreb will offer sensitive help and counseling to the trauma victims. Nirvana emphasizes that rape in war is a global issue and often goes unprosecuted, but they believe this benefit concert is a step towards changing that. They hope that by raising awareness, they can turn the tide against rape and encourage more prosecution of it as a war crime. The interview touches on the patriarchal society of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where women are often taken advantage of, and the center will provide a safe place for women to speak out and learn to live a different way. They also mention that the concert will include the Disposable Heroes and The Breeders and that the money raised will be used immediately."

They will change over the next ten years. Just not necessarily for the better or in the direction we would like. The way the worlds going at the moment humanity will be lucky to still be anywhere near the position we are in now. There's hardly anyone left alive that had to fight for the peace last time you see, every generation since WW2 has grown up (and a lot of them born and died) without ever having to go stand in a wet, muddy, ratty, lousy, smelly trench and risk the artillery and the aggressor alike in the name of liberty, democracy and religious freedom. Once a generation has to fight kill and maybe die for liberty they know its true worth. Unfortunately the sons and grandsons have never learnt its true value because they've never had it arbitrarily taken away. They don't value it properly and take it for granted because they've never had to fight for it. But they should beware. If you forget the lessons of the past you are condemned to repeat them. Americas time as nation in chief seems to be coming to an end. Let's hope the Eastern alliance of Russia and China will at least leave us to our own devices and democratic systems once they've kicked the west's arse in ww3! It'll happen if we don't toughen up soon!

the thing about kurt that people are attracted to is that with age you become more like him, but he was already there. you see how krist gets amped up talking about rape, and kurt sees it and feels it like another granule of sugar in the coffee. he doesnt get phased by anything and that baffles a lot of people. you cant pretend to not be baffled but to have principles and morality and not be phased like kurt does isnt fake, its genuine and irreplaceable. because u know hes already in the future. .. i mean look at those shades! he is not even mad that he is powerless. that kinda of lack of control is attractive. we all wish we could have faith or lack of control and be in control. paradoxial to say the least.. makes me wonder.

@@slaythembeforeme Definitely haha. When you're high on dope, everything seems very awesome and genuine and your just super satisfied with life... You see the beauty in everything kinda and really live happily in the moment.

Recorded in 1993 and now at the doors of 2023, it's definitely the message that's the important thing and with what's happening in Ukraine, sadly still very relevant. But a very big thank you must go out to all those who find and help disseminate such rare footage.
