Song is about death and the belief or hope to cross over to somewhere eternal. It's actually very sad because in line he doesn't believe there to be anything after death, coming from a man who many a time sad this life is just a pitstop

The way he sings about old age is like it is an elusive thing that we never quite reach. We can only imagine the future, all we have is this moment but then one day you wake up and you're there.

This version has taken me hours to find. They got it buried deep. Not even the same as the one I was looking for, but it is the same lyrics I was looking for. Almost, I think? Pretty close. The one I was trying to find starts out with Kurt saying some weird words, maybe in spanish, then goes into this same version. I didn't read all the lyrics, but the one I was looking for he is basically confessing Jesus as lord and kinda explained why they killed him. Something along the lines of not wanting to sacrifice his daughter.???

First of all: Thanks for uploading this and attempting to provide the lyrics! Instantly I noticed parts were incorrect and without coherence. This inspired me to attempt to capture the lyrics myself and for the past hours I've listened to it over and over and over again. My oh my what a task! Half way through the song I decided to quit because some parts afterwards are really undecipherable for me and I'm too tired now. Besides just listening to his words I tried to figure out what the song is about (the art itself). Many of his songs are about mast**bation and/or s*x -issues if you listen carefully (check out Spank Thru & Paper Cuts!) and I noticed the same vibe in this song..... I tried my best to uncover his lyrics for the world to share and I would love to be corrected when needed and to collaborate with others to get to the correct version of his lyrics. So don't feel shy to correct my attempt too! I thorougly researched and looked up meanings of possible words and some were very uncommon, but suit the context in my opinion, like "Prain' is slang for "an unfaithful person" and "Spash" means "thick whitish liquid that's ejaculated from a male p*n*s'. This has been my favorite song for years, since I heard it actually, I always wonder why he never liked it that much, I kind of think that it was so good that he felt embarrassed or if he played it live or on an album he was being too "superior" cus he was always modest and respected good shit that came before him, but I think with this song he really broke into the new realm of musicality that only he did, so I suppose he could see that, but he would've felt like an arrogant prick playing it all the time, cus he always had weird guilt trips about stuff.
