it wasnt out of nowhere. it was rumored to exist for years. a version they played live leaked to the internet years before it was released and then the official song leaked months before the actual release ..they even played it on the radio. courtney and nrivana sent letters to radio stations threatening legal action so they stopped. i avoided hearing it tho till the cd dropped in late 2002 and still waited till someone gave me the cd at xmas ...and it was amazing.

@@DannyCosmos No, no you're right. It didn't come out of nowhere. I knew about the radio play leading up to it (never heard it, like yoruself) and I heard it on bootlegs many years before they released the studio version.... i just had no idea the quality it was recorded in. I thought it was going to be a released like other b-sides with mediocre production... Y'know? I had no clue it was going to sound this f'n good. Know what I mean? Cheers.

Dear Kurt Today, you‘ve been gone for 30 years. Even though you died years before I was born, you are my biggest inspiration, the reason I love music and the reason I‘m still breathing. I can’t believe I will never get the chance to see you live and to sing, yell and scream along with you. I can’t believe I will never get to listen to new songs you write and I can’t believe I will never even get the chance to meet you. But I guess, it is better to burn out than to fade away. You left a hole in the world. You saved me and so many more, I wish we could have saved you. I miss you every day. Sleep well, Kurt, wherever you are. Last night, tonight and forever.

That video was taken during the concert where he played Love Buzz, jumped into the crowd and crowd surfed, and ended up slamming his guitar into the face of a bouncer who tried to help him back onstage as he thought he was being aggressive. It sparked a big fight and row which is mentioned in the Heavier than Heaven biography.

because kurt is describing that part of his life. Literally, my gut instinct tells me he did not kill himself, courtney, and many others used kurt for everything they could get. Keep in mind that kurt was only with courtney just under 2 years, so she did well. kurt just wanted out of everything and away from courtney she knew this and put a plan into action. I still believe kurt bought the second plane ticket for frances, and this sent Miss Love over the edge same reason she claims she dont know who the ticket was for she knows but won't tell ✌️ when she passes many truths will come out but she's protected and connected for now 👊

I cry every time I hear this song. Knowing this was his last song before we lost him. He was one of a kind and put a smile on a lot of people’s faces. When the vocals become stronger it reminds me or others of the pain he suffered. I’ll always have the time to listen to nirvana even if it’s almost 40 years old.

The fact that it topped the charts in 2002 literally 8 years after Cobains death just says how much Nirvana meant. This is one of my favorite(& arguably one of the best) Nirvana songs ever. Not only did it help me through some rough times, but the sheer amount of meaning it holds for the band and their fans is incredible. It's one of those songs that feels like every line was written for me--yet it's fascinating how people interpret it and how the song's significance differs to them. What a heart-wrenching, powerful, capturing send-off for such a fantastic band. Thank you, Nirvana. Sending so much love and support to fellow inspired fans, the Nirvana crew and families, Dave and Krist, and Kurt--wherever you are, I hope you're doing well.

+beviseduardo I would like to be able, to be legitimate to assert I DO understand their message. I think so, really; I mean I feel so, deeply, but only Kurt could tell... I don't want to be too presomptuous when I see the exent of his art (literally LIVING it in every aspects), and the depth of his art: that's why even if I sincerely feel I am "on that tune" (if I can say it that way) I still don't dare to affirm "oh yeah, I perfectly get what they meant". I think Kurt would be the only person who could tell. Anyway, all I can say is that nothing is the same since I started listening to Nirvana. I mean, I finally treat myself, give myself the right to see things on a different level, to BE on a different level. And it's so f...... good. I'm so f...... "me" when their music fills my head! yeah he changed "its better" to "i'd rather". still doesnt mean its his fucking quote, kurt himself was quoting it from someone else and probably fucked his words up. doesnt make it his, learn before you try to flex shitbrains.

Agreed. But this is maybe one of the last grunge songs they would have released. He thought a happy life would make the pain go away but 'things have never been so swell'. Things were literally never better. The other songs would be less focused on pain probably. Kurt at one point said that he admired R.E.M and said at least one future album would be inspired by them. Check out Do Re Mi for what that could have looked like.

Gabriel Bennett nah Nevermind was too successful. Nothing nirvana could have put out would have done more than Nevermind.
@gabrielbennett9376
@gabrielbennett9376 4 жыл бұрын
@@Aromatic-ring Success is no where NEAR equivalent to quality. DJ Khaled is incredibly successful, but his music is absolute fucking garbage. The Velvet Underground struggled to sell any of their albums, yet they were one of the best bands of their era. In utero sold less copies than Nevermind, but in my opinion, it was much better, though that is subjective.

Dude they would have gotten progressively better and better all they did was practice and play that's what made them so tight, they were still very young and developing their talents , they were already damn near at perfection Level

I personally consider this one of their best songs, if not their best, despite it being released after Kurt’s death. I literally remember the first time hearing it on the radio, a leaked mp3 going around the internet that stations started playing immediately. It’s like Smells Like Teen Spirit Part 2. I feel like this single being released to MTV and radio near the 10 year anniversary of Kurt’s death caused soo much hype over Nirvana amongst millennials who were getting into them for the first time.

I got to see the Nirvana exhibit at the MoPop in Seattle. Something about seeing his sweater in a case, the pictures, his hand written notes. Seeing all of them as individual people and not just some famous band. Having grown up in the 90s and Nirvana being such a huge, everyday part of my teens, it was a very unexpected emotional experience. I spent an hour in that room with a lump in my throat, fighting back tears. If you.ever have the opportunity to visit it, I highly recommend it.

Or they just wear the T-shirts because it’s “cool” and have no idea who Nirvana, or Kurt really were. See comment above. I really wish they would get into the music. It was special and could not, and will not be duplicated. The ones who know, know. The ones who don’t are truly missing out.
