NISA should get a round of applause!! Not only for their development work but for their marketing and for their collector's editions. I've said on multiple channels that you get the best bang for your buck with their collector's editions. What a weekend for them last weekend!

Howdy, Derek. Just wanted to say, thank you. I appreciate the “Weekly Update” being back. It has been my preferred way to keep in touch with games and the industry since I decided to stop following everything on social media. I cut back my social media usage a few months ago, which has been great, but I definitely felt disconnected at times. Watching these updates is simple, straightforward, and helps me get the info I am interested in while not overloading my social media usage. You rock, my friend!

**Sigh** Don't we all? Remaster or remake. I'm more on the "remake" side of things because it'd be awesome to play the Sky games with the new combat system (and they'd probably give us an English dub too, which would be a big plus), but I'd be more than happy with remasters on modern consoles.

they keep hinting at it, I wouldn't be surprised at this point. I think that'd finally end the whole "where should people start" debate. For a while, at least.

I never hated NISA for deciding to localize Falcom games! In fact, this is the best decision the company ever made. Yeah, they had a few translation problems, but things like that can be easily fixed, never getting falcom games is forever lol. I always considered NISA games as pretty much shovelware before they started localizing falcom games and never really saw them going anywhere. Now they have a promising future as more and more people are realizing Falcom kind of kicks ass at what they do.

I love NISA, I just wish they'd get their shipping together. Daybreak released over a week ago and I still don't have my LE. Reverie was a week late as well. I'm really hoping Daybreak 2 isn't the same way.

The more success they have with the Trails series, I think the better they'll be able to scale up their fulfillment centers. Let's hope!

@@SuperDerek fortunately the damage isn't too severe, but the corner of my artbook and art cards did get crumpled in a bit and there's a small tear in the box. I'm hoping for at least a partial refund. I'd be happy if they just refunded the shipping cost

Minor correction: I believe the Ys Memoire remake next year is not an Xseed game, it's from Marvelous USA. I played the demo for the game at the Marvelous USA booth at Anime Expo last week, and also attended all 3 of Kondo's panels there, and got the Ys 10 and Daybreak 2 announcement from Kondo himself. Anime Expo was a wild, fun time!

Veritus looks rad! And I'm really hoping XSEED, NISA and Falcom can be one big happy family and can work together on localizations both old and new to give the games timely western releases. Also, as someone who is fan of Sonic, Dragon Ball and RPGs, I dunno if my wallet is gonna survive this October xD

Me too! I bet NISA is at least a little relieved they didn't just have another project added to their 'to-do' list. My guess though is XSEED has some iron-clad contracts with Falcom about who has exclusive publishing rights for certain games until the end of time.

I have already thought of the perfect Sonic rpg format a long time ago imo and that would be a hybrid 2d stages in a 3D world metrovaina. They could use the chaos emeralds as the power ups to give sonic as a kind of level system, and his friends could work as his traverse the world abilities to further open the map.

Yep I imagine a 3d hub world where you use your friends powers to get you to new locations then they have 2D huge sprawling metrovaina style 2d sonic dungeons where you get a chaos emerald at the end. Which sockets into sonic leveling up new different abilities and skill per chaos emerald. Once you have them all of course you can go Super Sonic and do the final huge main dungeons either in 3D or 2D whichever is fine haha.

I will be buying Ys X because they support the PS4 and I support Falcom! But......... Falcom is screwing over the PS4 with Ys Memoire so compliment redacted. 😎
