On the occasion of Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj’s 32nd Punyatithi, Sri Nisargadatta Ashram is glad to present “THE ETERNAL SATSANG”, one of the two rare documents of Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj’s talks with the seekers of the ultimate truth.
The entire film is presented as it is with word to word translation of Sri Maharaj’s talk. Attempts are made to maintain the style and thrust of Sri Maharaj’s talk as it is. We hope the devotees will humbly accept any discrepancies in it.
Sri Nisargadatta Ashram expresses deep gratitude towards the devotee who recorded this rare document and towards everyone who helped in presenting this document.
It is certain that seekers of truth will be benefited immensely by this Satsang with Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj.

Thank you for sharing this. I found his videos on YT and have been absolutely hooked. Maharaj can be a little cryptic sometimes, and for good reason because he speaks in the level of the person who engages with him, but Wolinsky is incredibly clear with his explanations.

It's such a weird experience for me to hear a talk on topics like non duality etc in Marathi😂 As a mumbaikar, the only Marathi I'm familiar with is the one you use for local day to day communication. And the only Spiritual content I'm used to listening to is either good English or pure shuddh hindi😂 so this is a fresh but exciting experience !

Very good detail Nisargadatta expalined is "right balance of attention" of "let go" the irony and the dance. focus on lingam but dont realise the maya surrouding it hahaha amazing one

It's scary to see how inaccurate the translation is. I'm wondering to what extent Frydman or Dun relied on "translators". The West might be getting the spirituality of the translator instead of Maharaj's teaching.

@@atanubardhan8116 I am just comparing the translator's translation with the subtitles. My judgement is also based on the fact that at times the translator replies by himself instead of translating the question to Maharaj.

@@NayiSochWala my comment was a bit of an exaggeration. The book " I Am That " was edited by Maurice Frydman, who knew Marathi, and I read somewhere that he was a jnani himself according to Maharaj. So that book at least should be accurate.

@46:46 min Maharaj says "By understanding you become wise, and the wisdom has preserved it." ? whats the deeper meaning in these words as to how Maharaj meant them? How does he mean this exactly. Maharaj says @47:03 "Then having understood, yOu have not understood." What are the subtle aspects ofthe words he uses?ThankYou for your time !

I understand it like this: There is a screen on which a movie is being played. The movie is trying to show you the screen. So the movie shows you pictures of screens. But whatever picture of screen that you see will not be the screen, because the actual screen is beyond the movie.

This is a rare jewell. But I really don't like how Mularpattan inserts himself everywhere and instead of being an interpreter, he loosely paraphrases nearly everything Maharaj is saying. Being able to read the actual English subtitles for Marathi, we can compare how much stronger Maharaj's words are. Not saying Mularpattan mistranslates, but not translating the exact word for word takes away from the entire 'direct pointing out' as intended by Maharaj.
