Good points. You need to get around people who already have a good relationship with money and they will lift you up and show you things you never conceived could be possible. Also read books on personal finance and wach channels like Dave Ramsey or Anthony O'Neall to learn how to get out of debt and start building wealth. In this Age of Information, the only person stopping you from growing is yourself. With the amount of free financial education resources online, there should be no excuse.

Growing up and living in Alabama, all of these points literally hit home with me. I am just now learning that money, in fact, is not an evil- but a true blessing to have in your life. Never give up and never let others around you dictate your life. Financial freedom is key and your videos highlighting examples and advice are so inspirational for so many. Thank you!

I love that you kept it real about 9-5s, because 9-5s come with other benefits that is not just about the paycheck. For instance, I work for my health insurance. My son has epilepsy and I would not be able to afford to get the coverage for the treatments and tests he has to go through if I didn't keep my job.

Great video! I've definitely worked through several of these myself. It is amazing to see how adding a simple "yet" to the end of a thought can change your mindset about money. I used to say "I can't afford it." towards things I could afford but didn't want to prioritize over other things, so I started to say "I can afford this, but I'm currently prioritizing other things." That one shift transformed my mindset and helped me see all the opportunities available and that I could actually choose what to do versus thinking I was just stuck with the same old decisions.

I read some time ago that we often fail to move forward because of the stories we tell ourselves, and that the way out of this is to ask ourselves the right questions. Your last point - to ask yourself "how am I going to afford this" is very salient and a reminder I needed as I navigate some huge changes in my life. It takes you from being a victim to having some power over your future. Thank you for great content. X

@@nischa just saw my first video with you and love this as well! So much good stuff in there and no fluff! Some channels take 20 minutes to make a single point, you explain clearly 10 points in less than 10 minutes - very much appreciated! Maybe you could make a video on that as well, it definitely would be useful to me 😀

Hi Nischa, Thank you for producing such great content. I've been binging your videos the past few days, and I am planning on supplementing parts of the high school (United States) Quantitative Reasoning and Business Math course that I teach with your content. Your content has "convicted" me about my negative beliefs about money and wealth. Why am I teaching a course on QR and BM with negative views about money? Well, I came in as an emergency upper level math teacher a month ago and this class is part of the gig - my students will benefit that I came across this channel when I did. Anyway, I was very surprised when I watched your first few videos with catchy, click-baity titles about things many others are talking about, but I left not feeling slimed, and you seemed to be a genuinely happy and centered person. You've inspired me to not only act on the passion and excitement for wealth building I had as a child, but also start a KZfaq channel about something I've been passionate about for a long time. I've already looked into buying some property and starting to dollar cost average may way into the stock market. You're an inspiring person. What is it like operating in the finance world as someone with your strong values? Especially as a woman of color? Again, thanks so much.

Your commentary on how the mind thinks about money are spot on. The very first step in achieving any goal is to believe it is possible. Secondly, you must believe YOU can do it. You are only guaranteed to fail if you never actually try. Thank you for reminding so many of these basic facts. 😀

Nischa, thanks to you, I realized that it's not a shame to have a 9-5 and earn on the side. I wanted to earn for myself so badly because I hated working in call centers, and they drained me. But if you have a great job where you get a good amount of money it allows you to connect with people, and it gives you the opportunity to grow within the company, then it's absolutely fine to stay there instead of struggling alone financially. I'm looking forward to an interview with an amazing startup and having time for myself to learn without being exhausted. I cannot thank you enough for these videos. They are a game changer! ❤

Number 3 freed me. I don’t know where I learned it. I’m playing a different game than everyone around me. It helps me to have a long term view of life and my goals and I can be happy of everyone’s success. A lot of people around me are so unhappy because they try so hard to appear happy by flexing their indulgent life style but they will pay the price later on in life…

Great points made, thank you for sharing. I have to add to this ‘Victim mentality’ belief, I’ve known and seen people blame everything but themselves of not trying to improve things in one’s life. Political parties, family, friends, workplace are some of the most common ones. ‘You either make yourself accountable or you will be made accountable by your circumstances.’

You could definitely consider being a professional model as another income stream 😄 Love this video. I would love one about changing social classes. Like, how to build wealth and a safe and solid foundation when you come from a poor/unsafe family and you’re battling illness/isolation/scarcity or whatever . Or I could just rewatch ‘The Pursuit of happiness’ or ‘Maid’ I suppose... If this is too tricky

This is SO true!! The minute we sold our first house and started renting, we were so much happier! We live well below our means, and still have assets. But sometimes what works for everyone else, or what society tells you to do, just doesn’t work for you! I prefer passive income over a 9-5 (after working for decades), however my husband prefers having a job. We make it work 😊.
