They would be the best if they had a higher standard for their finished product. They do fantastic work but they will basically take any job someone wants to pay them for. Tommy is the best because you can't pay him to do any less than a full bay restoration

@AUSTIN They’re ok. I spoke to them about getting my car done and insisted I keep certain OEM parts on my car. They wanted me to keep HICAS. That was the first thing that I got rid of when I got the car back in 2016. Drove in Germany and it handled like ass. They wanted me to keep the stock heat exchanger. It had gone to shit so I replaced it with an oil cooler and bypassed it. They said no ARP head studs because it would cause the head to lift. Just a lot of shit that I didn’t agree that lead me to not go there. One last thing, they didn’t want me to upgrade my oil pump gears to spline drive.

They get rid of issues the OEM parts came with and “lightly modify” the cars using Japanese brands keeping the Japanese tuning culture in the soul of their builds. Of course they also use some other high quality modern brands but all hidden in the background and only when needed. Nissan OEM, NISMO, HKS and so on all Japan! The attention to detail goes so far even to the point that solely standing in front of his shop makes you feel like you are in Japan, as Larry mentioned. There is no “the best shop in the world”, it’s just a way of saying! Tommy’s shop is the best shop at what they do. Nothing more, nothing less. Larry does not have to explain all of this in so much detail as everybody has bit of brain capacity and should use it. No one is saying that Australia does not build; the most powerful, the strongest, the fastest, the quickest and the craziest GTRs on this planet! …and fair play, Australia sure has some of the most experienced GTR builders with a lot of knowledge on how to build “go fast” parts. Nevertheless it is very good and high attention to detail. But plenty of other shops that go to a way further extent.
