when i rebuilt my master and slave i noticed that the springs inside had some rust spots. over time the rust builds breaks down into the fluid and turns to sludge. after cleaning them out and bleeding, the clutch feels great.

You know the pain and on going issue of the POS stock CSC. I got a heavy duty CSC and Master works great. I've seen the relocating the CSC to out side the bell housing. Maybe I'll do it one day. Great Video

thanks bro my z my bro gave me same color as urs 😅 03, won’t drive/go in gear believe it’s the slave cylinder or master, since like u pointed it out it is a aftermarket clutch stage 2 in it

Do you know if you can regrease the throwout bearing while it is all still on the car? I can only see videos of people showing how to once you remove the transmission which is not what I wanna do.

Would the slave cylinder be the problem if I have to press the clutch all the way down just to put it into gear? And even then, it feels like I'm shifting the knob into a wall with how hard it is to put it into gear
@elmazizo36397 жыл бұрын
Marcos Diaz that's the master that's what happened to mine let me know what it was

sorry for late reply but it turned out to be my clutch. might as well replace the master and slave though while youre at it

Help!! I can feel my clutch engagement start at 1/4 of my foot to the floor. Randomly recently my transmission is locking me out of all gears when i turn it on and grinding if i force it. at first i could mess with it and it would go into gear but now it will not, ive never had a single synchro grind when shifting accept for when i forced it when this problem started. It started with reverse now its all gears. Any thoughts? I ordered a new master cyl and slave. I have a stage 3 clutch w 31k on it never has slipped on me. Could it be simple as adjustment? Or slave? Pedal doesnt stick to the floor but grab point doesnt feel stiff like before i swapped my cd009 trans in. Any help much appreciated 🙏🏼 also it goes into gear perfectly fine when car is off so trans isnt locked or internally shifted

sounds like it might need bleeding

Sounds like the slave cylinder pin is too short for your aftermarket clutch.

why did u replace the slave cylinder

I got a 06 g clutch is new.. master cyl is new slave is new. Car rolls with clutch in.. but gear shifter is stiff with clutch in.. sometimes I can’t get into 1st or R and have to force it into 4th then I can find 1st but if I let the clutch out and back in I can’t get into first again..
@kudicid12342 жыл бұрын
look up a manual on reinstalling your shifter. it has a metal plate that rubs up against the shifter to keep it in line with the gears. make sure this is torqued and positioned correctly as shown in the manual, mine had the same issue after my clutch was replaced... its an easy fix. also sometimes these trans can be hard to put in 1st when coming to a stop thats just something u have to get used to
@Turtlefarm2 жыл бұрын
@@kudicid1234 thanks but thats definitely not it.. I know what the shifter plate is.. the issue is resolved. It was a poorly installed clutch. Grease on the flywheel kept it from being able to shift.

has anyone ever had an issue with the clutch having trouble disengaging to the point where you can release the clutch and the car would just sit and idle
@seanjones58267 жыл бұрын
Yup I had that problem shortly after I got my car. I took the clutch out and the disk was worn down to the rivets, I went for an aftermarket clutch and flywheel

The stupid thing about the Z and many other cars is that they don't have an inspection port so one could actually see the clutch. By the time the clutch slips, everything is ruined, including the pressure plate, which is very expensive. If there were just an inspection port, one could see how far down the clutch is wore and replace it before it is metal on metal.
@barryspurlock30485 жыл бұрын
There is a inspection port. It's just hard to get to. It's on the drivers side in between the engine and transmission. It's a plate with 2 14 mm bolts.
@jonathanulery16103 жыл бұрын
if your clutch is slipping guess what? you will be dropping that transmission and replacing the clutch the slave cylinder will not cause slipping it will cause your friction disc to burn up which will cause the slipping anyway just to let these guys hoping to fix a slipping clutch with any part of the hydrolics ???? lol nope
