Very helpful - I was able to replace the battery with no trouble. One other tip: connect another battery using jump leads while you do the job so that the radio doesn't get tripped out requiring a code to reset it.

thank you! also i noticed you could access the cabin air filter after removing the second cowling. my filter was really dirty so i just folded it and pulled it out. i know you’re supposed to change it from the inside of the car, so if you don’t mind folding your new cabin air filter in half, you can put it in this way and then unfold it and fit it into place. much easier!

Thanks for the great video! Very easy to understand - I followed your steps and they were spot on as far as easily removing the battery. Before I saw the video, I knew SOMETHING had to be removed to get the battery out - just wasn't sure WHAT. Your video took care of that for me! :)

Thanks for the video, but you do one thing wrong, first put of negative and second positive and first put in positive and second negative.

J M - The Z uses a proximity signal from the key fob to allow it to start (via Push Button Start). If your fob's battery is dead or too low on power to be detected, you can put the fob into this slot and still start the car (still using the Push Button Start). Also, in case anyone doesn't know, there's a hidden key inside the fob to unlock the doors if the fob battery is dead.

What about the computer and other electrical things you have to keep some current to these items or they have to be reset like windows radio stations etc obd connector simple fix

Is it really that big of a deal? It takes 2 minutes to reset the clock and your radio stations.

Read the owners manual about the windows! There is a specific procedure before disconnecting & connecting the negative terminal.
