Here's the thing... A 2009 GT-R with 480hp which sold for $69K will beat the base C8. The awd and gearing favour the GT-R in a drag race.

Yeah the c8 is meant to be a more entry level exotic car. It does well to put an extreme performance car in the hands of many middle class Americans. But the stingray isn't an animal like the zo6 is. Should have raced with that instead.

@@squidusn71 I was asking a real question because I couldn't find it. I found the regular C8 and it says almost $102,000. That's not the same price here in the states. They could at least have used the Z06 tho.

@@downsouthlouisiana In the USA The Nissan website says a GTR starts at $121,090 the Chevy website says an ERay starts at $104,9000. Clearly, these guys are not in the USA so the price point and availability may be different. But in the USA no one cross shops a Stingray with a GTR. A Stingray starts in the high $60s here. In FL there are plenty of 1LT trim Stingrays advertised below MSRP.

Nothing exotic looking about it. They tried to make it look like a Lambo, Ferrari, McLaren etc but it just looks like a cheap kit car. You want American muscle that has looks to go with it, get a Viper.

The Corvette looks nothing like a McLaren or a Lamborghini. It is mid engine with is how the car was meant to be in the first place. I do love a Dodge Viper it is my favorite car next to Corvettes but I will choose a vette first any time.

Nah .. it might win .. DESTROY is over the top .. BTW .. Nissan detunes the GTR .. the C8 / Z06 / ZR1 is the the most recent latest tech from GM .. GTR freshened old platform .. stock GTRs have been around the 10s .. I want a z06 to try and destroy my FBO GTR .. If I do bottom end I want a ZR1 or SF90 to step up to the plate and get knock out .. Corvettes are nice but they are 2 seater want-to-be Lambos now .. I have respect for the many vettes .. the C8 is a copy cat that is fast .. it will never be special like the others

E-Ray is better for racing against GTR as both are AWD and GT cars. Stingray costs US$69k. GTR costs US$120k. That exhaust on the GTR doesn't seem to be stock.

Although the eray is AWD, we all know it will beat a GTR, even a FBO GTR. A Z06 would have made for a better race since lack of grip, but more power, would have evened the playing field and made for a better race

Sting ray is a 2023 with hybrid technology and with a 6.2 V8 super chargered engine. The GTR is a 3.8 V6 biturbo all wheel drive that in a 2007 design.... Come on.. The corvette is leap years ahead of the GTR in terms of design and tech. Those are facts

I’ve read that after using the launch mode in the GTR you have to give it a cool down period or it goes into limp mode. Still fast without it though. I’d like to see that go up against the z06 or the E-Ray.

C7 zr1, gt500, darkhorse with the whipple 800 package, redeye, super stock, demon, demon c170 McLaren’s 765, McLaren’s 720s, Ferrari sf90, and many more below 1 mil that will eat a gtr and that’s just stock. Man people rally think these are the fastest thing 😂. Fbo e85 to fbo e85 a regular hellcat will eat one drag strip or roll race. They work well on the street for digs that’s about it stock.

It’s 100 hp down and not awd doing a dig in the street, what did you expect? Get a c8 zo6 a bit more fair. Still not really though considering age of them I would say bring out a c7 zo6 or zr1 650hp boosted and 755 boosted as the gtr is boosted aswell and has awd but then the gtr would be destroyed unless a good launch wasn’t had but that’s on the driver. A roll race wouldn’t even be close with any of the vets other than this vet it’s the slowest one they make.
