Nissan Kicks Front Brake Job DIY How To

Күн бұрынBrake job on a 2019 Nissan Kicks. As simple as it gets. Corrosion can be a concern with the rotor sticking to the hub, but with some convincing, it should come free.
The hardest part of this job is fitting the pad clips to the bracket. TAKE YOUR TIME AND LOOK AT IT CLOSELY. Ideally you'd see how it is situated before taking it apart.
Lug Nut torque spec - 83 ftlbs
Sorry I don't know the torque specs for the calipers.
Slider bolts should be tight.
Bracket mounting bolts should be very tight.

What size heads are the bolts at 21-24 seconds? Just going to change the pads for now

Sorry I can't remember! My guess would be between 12-14mm

How did you compress the cylinder

at 0:14 you can see I compress the cylinder with a vice clamp before taking it all apart. I find this way easier compared to doing it with the caliper off. Cheers!

What's in the bottle with the brush? Anti seize?

The bronzeish stuff is anti-seize, and the orange stuff is brake caliper grease.
