Is this using the factory microphone or GROM supplied mic?

For this stereo you need to use GROM supplied microphone that comes as a part of VLine package.

I see you using mostly the buttons to control this. Does the touch screen not support swiping?

The touchscreen does not support swiping in this vehicle. The VLine VL2 uses the existing touchscreen that is currently available in the car.
