A bit of black smoke is fine, that's just unburnt fuel. White smoke is the (synthetic) oil though, but it's not entirely unusual to see a little from older turbo RB engines like that, especially when cold... mine does the same so I'm vaguely thinking about a new turbo now :)

Neo's Gaming Construct nag white smoke is water/condensation. Blue is oil. Black is fuel, this used to cool down the combustion chamber when boost is applied. Complelty fine as said

Blue smoke is mineral oils... semi synthetic and fully synthetic oils burn white ;)

Slakbury incorrrect. Black smoke is usually fuel burning, white smoke is condensation/water and blue is oil. It doesn’t matter the type of oil be it mineral, semi or fully synthetic. This just means the chemicals in the oil are different but it’s still engine oil and will burn blue.

+Neo's Gaming Construct, sorry i was wrong there is a way of getting round the legality of importing a R34 in to America which must be why i have seen so many but it turns out they are still illegal due to some regulation. Only the R33s are legal for some odd reason after having a quick look on google.
