Today we replace a leaking radiator in a 215 Nissan Titan. The radiator was leaking where the transmission cooler line come out of the lower tank of the radiator. The vehicle has been on the road for 5 years, and has only 60,000 miles. Keep in mind it lives in the rust belt, salt is terrible on vehicles. We install a after market Spectra Premium radiator (Not a sponsor). At the end of the video we disassemble the cooler and find the cause of the leak. Grab your pop corn and watch me butcher this radiator in to this vehicle!
Have a good one Tubes.

Thanks for the video! Helped a lot! I didn’t have anywhere near the quality of assistance (wife). His “super challenging” comment had me laughing and saying that every time I had a hang up lol. I did lose a bolt into Davy Jones locker. It will remain there till the end of days.

Thanks Buddy I appreciate your post and this he just save me hours of guessing. I was cleaning under the hood and bumped the nipple to the overflow and it broke off. With this video I took me about an hour and a half to get out and even less time to put back in. Thanks again appreciate your posting this

I just knocked that overflow nipple of myself so I am in the same boat this morning. I will have help though from a buddy of mine. Hopefully this will go smoothly.

Engine threw a code that my O2 sensor had shorted, noticed coolant was leaking and most likely shorted it. Decided to flush my coolant and fix the clamp to the nipple, broke it off and now in the same boat aha. Guess it was better now than never as the radiator nipple seemed to be decaying.

Great video....I followed along step by step and had a great time fixing my truck for 0$ labor. When I know it would have cost $1000 for a shop to do.

Great video, just a tip though. If you are doing a radiator its wise to also replace the transmission cooler hoses. They go bad pretty frequently on the Titan/Armada. Helps prevent future problems

Buy the Stillen all aluminum radiator. 3row core. Plastic ones always crack after a few years. I went through 4..

Hello to you...Great vid on radiator replacement. I was mostly interested in the last 1 min...I have a 2011 Armada I just got. I have been poking around and just noticed I have the smallest leak (hardly a leak, just a small dampness around bolt head over time) at the same place you had (just passenger side, not drivers side). When I say tiny, I mean the smallest bit of dampness around the heads of the bolt. I tightened the bolt head a tiny fraction and that seemed to make it even slower...My question is if I can take it apart like you did in the final moments of your video and replace the gasket under the bolt head...instead of replacing the radiator???

Great content and very helpful as I just ordered a new radiator. Mine has lasted 110K miles but seems like it had a tiny leak for a while. Do you know how much coolant it takes to fill? is it more than 1 gallon jug?
@donisharris2331
@donisharris2331 Жыл бұрын
To fill the entire thing should be around 4 gallons in a completely dry system.

Great video and yes 60,000 is horrible. I have 138,000 and need to do mine ASAP. How long did it take you to do this. I need to plan a day

I pulled radiator out from the bottom put 3 ton jack on motor mount fan intact plastic radiators are bogus didn't break anything why on such and expensive truck why not full aluminum easier to patch I think? transmission cooler lines I don't want to mix up? Any video on that

Why didn’t you attach the transmission cooler to the radiator before dropping it in?

Super Duty is so much easier. Besides the hoses just 2 bolts and pull up from the top. I was looking at this on my Armada and could tell immediately that it was a dumb design. Not Audi dumb, but dumb.
