I have this Doohickey Ratchet and really like it with some modification. First, I took their bits out to save weight. I typically need more clearance than half a bit above what I am trying to fasten or unfasten with a screw. Their bits have a ball detent and what I use does not. So what I use (the Steinwhale Stubby bit extender) passes through the ratchet and catches on the top of the extender cylinder. But this Steinwhale bit extender allows me to use double-sided Steinwhale stubby bits, double-sided Wiha bits and even Leatherman bits. Finally, there is a back up ratchet in case the main unit fails. The bottle opener has a lip to it. The curved portion of the bottle opener fits a 1/4" hex bit or extender. The lip portion catches the hex going one direction, and the lip disengages going the other direction. As with the main ratchet, just turn the pry bar over to go the other direction. It's a genius design that basically does the same thing EverRatchet built their whole brand on, and more pry bar and knife makers should pay heed to this design.

Got 1, like it, edc it with a Kershaw prytool with a can opener/oxygen wrench. One becomes a fulcrum for the other. Keep on a caribeaner with a reflective lanyard in pocket along with a Knipex plier. Good price point.

Had mine for a couple months Love it’s barely there feel and it has come in handy quite a bit

I bought this to go with my Gerber armbar to provide a couple of extra double ended bits and a pry bar to take my options up to six. The ratchet is a bonus.

Nite Ize seems to have some nice stick on pocket clips. I wish the Super Tool 300 had it own pocket clip, like the Surge. I really like the ballistic nylon sheath but a pocket clip would be nice to have too. I still can't get over the Freestyle, fits in the coin pocket on my jeans. I'm just fascinated by it. Would you recommend a Nite Ize pocket clip?

👍🏻All-in-all not a bad looking little tool. I’ve noticed that Nite-ize kinda specializes in small gizmos and gadgets. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen them produce anything large. I see their carabiners and keychain gizmos all over Amazon, and even in Home Depot, etc. I have a couple of their S-Biners and a gizmo that secures paracord as a tie down… don’t remember what it’s called, but it’s pretty handy and quick to use. I just know that if I carried that thing, I’d loose those bits. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Do you know where one could get more double-ended bits like those, with a ball detent?

I have one. I want to replace the flat blades with hex or star bits. Any idea where I could get them?

Good review. 👍 I suppose if it holds up to keychain use then it's a decent option for some. Options at different prices are good for everyone except EDC addicts.
