I just bought this laptop recently, and was looking to install a new M.2 in there, but I got thrown off by other videos shown in the 2019 editions. Thank you for showing the step by step, I wouldn't have figured this out on my own.

The later model N20C2 (Jun 2021) has TWELVE screws [this one shown in the video is model N20C1 (2020)]. The twelfth screw is beside the small sticker that says "Caution". Internally, there is a slightly different setup near the secondary M.2 slot, but it is basically the same.

Does anyone know the storage limit for the nvme? It says on the site that the storage limit for the ssd is 512gb but I’m not sure if it says the limit for the nvme as well

The part on the motherboard labelled 2 says pcie/Sata so if you have that labelled then yes But I still highly recommend pcie

There is a green light(or bulb) blinking inside in the backside(botton) of laptop.I was able to notice it from the space given in the backpannel to see fans. Same Model. Is it a problem?

Right click start menu (lower left) go to Disk Management. Pick GDPT (?) then next icon to all the default. Restart.

Only supports one nvme m.2 the second must be a sata m.2

depends on the length, if I see it right you can fit any 2280 in the laptop.

yes you can use any storage from 250gb-2tb but has to be m.2 or a 2.5 inch ssd/hdd in drive bay hat open its like a sliver open spot

Some models do some models don't If your pins of the SSd slot are aligned like " """" " It's a SATA slot and won't support NVMe If it's aligned like " """""" It would support NVMe as you can see in this video at 01:38

olvidaste decir que tipo de M2 son compatibles, en mi AN515-43-R79H solo hay un ssd NVme y el otro solo acepta Sata. imaginate si alguien sigue tu tutorial y compra 2 M2 NVMe .

Do it inside of authorized store or service center of Acer so the warranty will not be void, if you are only the one will install it the warranty will be automatically void

@@soumilswapna if that happened to me. I just removed it before giving it to the service center. I'm from India too. They told me I lost the warranty but I removed the drive and took it to a different center and had no problem

Not really. Just as always, when working on internals, keep yourself grounded to prevent static discharge on your components.

On 01:39 you can see how the pins are arranged in NVMe format. Sata slots have 3 parts kinda like " '''""'' '' while NVME pins are like " """""" So his model basically has a NVMe slot, you should first check ur slots pins if they are aligned in Sata or NVMe format then get a SSD.

One other reasons I'm getting a Helios 300, you have 2 m.2s and a 2.5 bay that can all be used at the same time. Only issues I have is that there's no SD slot.
